Computer simulations revealed that the information redundancy, which can be eliminated by factorization, is sparseness dependent. Due to strong similarity of Hopfield-like neural network to that of CA3 field of the hippocampus and following Marr's ideas we propose physiological mechanism for redundancy elimination (factorization) in CA3 and further replay to neocortex in the form of "classificatory units".

Network activity description by "lump approximation" was compared with simulation model computation. Lump approximation parameters dependence on the properties of neurons and synapses as well as conditions of the transition between network activity types which imitate desynchronous (low voltage fast activity) and synchronous (high voltage slow waves) brain activities were obtained.

It is shown that when the recording electrodes are arranged in accordance with 10-20 system, the source localization error does not exceed 10% of the head radius practically in any position of the source. A significant dependence is revealed of the source localization error on the concrete electrodes system used in experiment. It demands careful treatment of the available general recommendations on correction of the position of the source found by HUM model without consideration of the concrete arrangement of recording electrodes.

The system was divided into two groups according to magnitudes of the biochemical reaction constants. The first group with large values of the constants was transformed into quasi stationary algebraic equations. This allowed one to transform the system of 32 differential equations to a system containing only 4 differential equations, which can be used for modeling of learning processes in various parts of the brain.

Trajectories of the center of pressure and center of gravity projections were studied in dynamic ... more Trajectories of the center of pressure and center of gravity projections were studied in dynamic conditions during learned movement and movement evoked by the motor cortex stimulation (induced movement) in dogs and cats. The learned movement began with initial displacement of the center of pressure towards the limb performing movement. It corresponded often with initial increasing of the performing limb pressure on support and it was a reason of initial acceleration of the center of gravity in the opposite direction. Induced movement began with decrease of the performing limb pressure on support. It could result in the initial displacement of the center of pressure in the wrong direction but usually it was corrected 'quickly and the general trajectories of the center of pressure and the center of gravity were similar to ones observed during learned movement. Results suggest different programs for movement and appropriate postural adjustment.

It was shown that with optimal choice of the net parameters its efficiency coefficient is close to the earlier calculated one for a single associative-neuron-like element, and the quality coefficient is near 1.

The methods of evaluation of posture reconstruction pattern (coefficient of diagonally at all) are presented. The role of motor cortex in postural pattern reorganization in the process of learning in dogs is investigated by mean of this methods.

The vertical component of this displacement has been calculated by measuring the variations of the sum of vertical forces at each limb. The displacements are upwards and are larger in the case of hindlimb flexion than forelimb flexion. Their amplitude is directly linked to the time course of the vertical force variations recorded at each limb. The feed-forward character of the postural adjustment appears to minimize this amplitude and this may allow us to discuss the functional significance of this postural adjustment.

The power spectrum function obtained was used for approximation of the power spectra of the rats motor cortex potentials by the least squares method. As a result the network parameters modelling excitatory and inhibitory cellular and synaptic mechanisms were calculated for two rat strains differing in seizure readiness. As a result of calculations genetically predisposed to seizures KM rats were assumed to differ from unpredisposed to seizures Wistar rats in the increase of efficacy of neuronal interactions (excitatory and inhibitory) as a consequence of the enhanced neuronal "reactivity".

The problem of binary factorization of complex patterns in recurrent Hopfield-like neural network... more The problem of binary factorization of complex patterns in recurrent Hopfield-like neural network was studied by means of computer simulation. The network ability to perform a factorization was analyzed depending on the number and sparseness of factors mixed in presented patterns. Binary factorization in sparsely encoded Hopfield-like neural network is treated as efficient statistical method and as a functional model of hippocampal CA3 field.

Dogs were trained to change the diagonal postural pattern into an ipsilateral one. Such a rearrangement of inborn postural pattern is very difficult and requires several hundred trials. A biomechanical model connecting the changes of pressure of different limbs with kinematics of different part of the body is proposed.

The model was based on the following main concepts: (a) the conditioning formation should result in reduction of the firing threshold in the same neurons where the conditioning and reinforcement stimuli were converged, (b) neuron threshold may have only two possible states: initial and final ones, these were identical for all cells, the threshold may be changed only once from the initial value to the final one, (c) isomorphous relation may be introduced between some pair of arbitrary stimuli and some subset of the net neurons; any two pairs differing at least in one stimulus have unlike subsets of the convergent neurons. Stochastically organized neuronal net was used for analysis of the model. Considerable information capacity of the net gives the opportunity to consider that the conditioning formation is possible on the basis of the nervous cells. The efficienty of the model turn out to be comparable with the well known models where the conditioning formation was due to the modification of the synapses.
