Türkiye'de 2004 yılında çalışmasına başlanan ve halen uygulamada olan yeni öğretim programında, B... more Türkiye'de 2004 yılında çalışmasına başlanan ve halen uygulamada olan yeni öğretim programında, Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojilerinin (BİT) öğrenme-öğretme süreciyle bütünleşmesinin gerekli ve önemli olduğu vurgulanmaktadır. Ancak, uygulamada bunun nasıl gerçekleştirilebileceğine ilişkin somut uygulama ve etkinlik örnekleri sınırlıdır. Buradan hareketle çalışmada,yeni öğretim programlarında BİT'in öğrenme-öğretme süreciyle bütünleşmesinin nasıl ele alındığı incelenmiş, BİT ile bütünleştirilmiş ders planı şablonu ve bu şablonun uygulandığı ders planı örnekleri hazırlanmıştır. Böylece BİT'in öğrenme-öğretme süreciyle bütünleştirilmesi çalışmalarında işevuruk öneriler geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

In this study, it was aimed to reveal the existing situation about integration of information and... more In this study, it was aimed to reveal the existing situation about integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in educational context by examining research articles that have been published in last five years and to make recommendations for future research. For this purpose, research articles between the years of 2008-2013 were searched in Web of Science database with descriptive review. Review was carried out in two stages. The database, year, research area and article type were decided in the first stage. Then articles obtained from the first stage were analyzed with content analysis method in terms of context of research and distribution by its years, country where the study was published, study group and sample size, journal where it was published, method used and the theoretical framework or model used in it in the second stage. According to the results of descriptive review which was made according to the determined criteria, 129 research articles have been reached. Content analysis results showed that researchers mostly focused on the factors that affecting the integration of ICT to the teaching-learning process. It was seen that researchers secondly focused on teachers and pre-service teachers' perceptions of ICT integration process and the researches examining the integration process in terms of the variables such as beliefs, attitudes and self-efficacy. According to the countries where the studies were conducted, it was found that the most of studies were made in Turkey. Also, it was seen that Spain, Belgium, Singapore and Taiwan are other countries where many studies were conducted. Besides, it has been demonstrated that 18 out of 129 research articles are based on a model or theory, and among these theories and models Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) model was referenced in 14 research articles.

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğrenme-öğretme süreçlerine teknoloji entegrasyonuna ilişkin alan yazındaki t... more Bu çalışmanın amacı öğrenme-öğretme süreçlerine teknoloji entegrasyonuna ilişkin alan yazındaki tanım, model ve göstergeleri inceleyerek, entegrasyona ilişkin farklı bakış açılarını, entegrasyon sürecinde rol oynayan ögeleri, entegrasyonun sağlandığı ortamların özelliklerini ortaya koymak ve buradan hareketle, entegrasyon sürecine ilişkin daha geniş bir perspektiften bütüncül ve çok boyutlu bir çerçeve sunmaktır. Çalışmada öncelikle var olan entegrasyon tanımları incelenerek benzerlikler ve farklılıkları ortaya konulmuş, daha sonra modeller incelenerek entegrasyon göstergeleri, entegrasyon sürecindeki faktörler ve teknoloji entegre edilmiş ortamın özellikleri betimlenmiştir. Ardından modellerin entegrasyonu ele alış biçimleri ve yapıları karşılaştırmalı olarak tartışılmış ve bütüncül bir çerçeve önerilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to observe whether the participation of course instructor in the environ... more The aim of this study is to observe whether the participation of course instructor in the environment of interaction set up by the discussion board in on-line learning environment has influence on the learners' interaction level and frequency. The research group consists of 33 students who have been studying in Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies in 3th class. The course is carried out blended being face-to-face and on-line in one semester. The Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) was used in online part of the course. A two-stage process composing of eight weeks is performed in the research. Related the course subjects a discussion topic was opened to the discussion board weekly. In first stage of the process, instructor did not guide students as well as not participate to the environment. In the second stage, instructor indicated that the participation of discussion board will be evaluated and she was also actively joined to the online discussion environment.

The aim of this study was to examine pre-service teachers' realization of ICT integration for eff... more The aim of this study was to examine pre-service teachers' realization of ICT integration for effective mathematics instruction in a learning environment prepared according to 5E learning cycle model and ICT integration in the context of design based research. In line with this purpose, pre-service elementary mathematics teachers prepared lesson plans for ICT integration through a semester. This study was conducted at Hacettepe University, Elementary Mathematics Education Department in the spring semester of 2011-2012 academic year. The participants of this study were 47 pre-service teachers, of these were 38 male and 9 female, who enrolled the course Computer Assisted Mathematics Instruction at their sixth semester. Pre-service teachers were required to prepare lesson plans which aimed at ICT integration in accordance with learning objectives in each week. In this study, lesson plans were evaluated through ICT Integration Checklist, Effective Mathematics Instruction Checklist and 5E Learning Cycle Checklist which were developed by the researcher. The KR20 coefficients were calculated as .825, .65 and .71 respectively. Additionally, all courses were recorded by video and preservice teachers' reflection papers were obtained.

This study is conducted to determine the relationship between the digital divide in ICT access, I... more This study is conducted to determine the relationship between the digital divide in ICT access, ICT use and ICT literacy indicators with certain demographic characteristics of university students. Data are obtained by using measurement tools developed by investigators. Study group includes 822 students of preparatory class and first class of a university. Ki-square, t test and variation analysis are used in data analysis. Differences are found in the access, literacy and usage indicators of digital divide of some demographic properties of students as a result of analysis. In access indicator of digital divide there is no meaningful difference with respect to gender, however there is a difference in favour of mother- father's education level. In ICT literacy indicator there is a difference in favour of male students, students having higher education level mother-father. The purpose of this study is to design a networked learning process for ICT integration training ... more The purpose of this study is to design a networked learning process for ICT integration training and to explore the contribution of the design on preservice teachers' knowledge construction qualities. The study group was formed by 60 preservice teachers. Three items were discussed in the design; design of tasks, design of environment, and organizational design. The data was obtained from the activities carried out in the networked learning environment. Preservice teachers' knowledge construction process was examined by content analysis. Consequently, it was found that a networked learning process, which based on ICT integration and carried out in a networked learning environment, supports and contributes positively preservice teachers' knowledge construction process and qualities related to integration of ICT.

The purpose of this study is to overview the general use of social net-work sites (SNs) in Turkey... more The purpose of this study is to overview the general use of social net-work sites (SNs) in Turkey in higher education students, and to examine how this usage relates positively and negatively to their work, study, social life, cognitive development, social development, physical development and sense of security. The study is designed with a descriptive approach to display current situation of SNs usage in Turkey. The data is collected through an online survey. The results highlighted that “gaining up-to date information” and “learning new information and knowledge” are the most positive ways to organize their work, study and social life in participants’ SNs usage. It is also remarkable that the average scores for positive aspects of SNs have on students’ lives, is higher than the negative aspects that SNs have, according to the opinion of the students. But, it is clear that results of negative effects showed that “increasing privacy concerns” is the most important security factor.
