Abstract

Critical thinking skills the students of Physical Education remains low. It is caused by several factors, including the learning process is not optimal. This study aims to determine the increase in critical thinking skills by learning model Problem Based Instruction (PBI). The method used is a classroom action research that includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collections are done by observation, questionnaires, documentation, field notes and tests. Forms of data analysis used qualitative analysis. It can be concluded that the implementation of learning with Problem Based Instruction learning model can improve the critical thinking skills students in Philosophy of Science. This is evidenced by the increase in the average percentage of critical thinking skills of each cycle. In the first cycle, the average critical thinking skills students are 66.87%. In the second cycle into 80.19% or an increase of 13.32%. Thus the average percentage of critical thinking skills students has exceeded predetermined success criteria with the category is "very critical".

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran pocket mobile learning berbasis android. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan sebuah luaran berupa media pembelajaran pocket mobile learning berbasis android pada mata kuliah fisika. Media ini layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi dari ahli materi, ahli media dan respon mahasiswa terhadap media pembelajaran yang dibuat. Berdasarkan penilaian validasi ahli materi didapatkan rata-rata skor total sebesar 3,22 pada 14 butir pernyataan, dan termasuk pada kriteria “baik”. Sementara itu, berdasarkan validasi ahli media didapatkan rata-rata skor total sebesar 3,43 pada 15 butir pernyataan, dan termasuk pada kriteria “sangat baik”. Dan berdasarkan hasil analisis respon mahasiswa terhadap media pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata skor total sebesar 4,0 atau 80%, dengan kategori “kuat”. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran pocket mobile learning berbasis android layak untuk digunakan dan hampir semua mahasiswa menanggapi respon positif.The current research aims to develop the pocket mobile learning android based. It uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluating). This research has resulted from an outcome of learning media pocket mobile android based on physics subject. This instructional media is feasible to be used based on validation from material experts, media experts, and student responses. Based on the assessment of material expert, the validation obtains an average total score of 3,22 at 14 statements and considered as "good" criteria. Meanwhile, based on the validation of media experts, the average total score reaches 3,43 at 15 statements and considered as "very good" criteria. And based on the analysis of students’ response to learning media, the average total score is 4.0 or 80% with the category "strong". Thus, it can be concluded that the mobile pocket on android based is suitable for use and almost all students give a positive response.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem posing terhadap motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep IPA. Pembelajaran dengan model problem posing adalah pembelajaran yang menekankan peserta didik untuk membentuk atau mengajukan soal berdasarkan informasi atau situasi yang diberikan. Melalui penerapan model ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik. Subyek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMP Negeri 7 Depok dengan sampel peserta didik kelas VIII-9 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-8 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen dengan teknik analisis menggunakan uji Manova. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi belajar dan tes pemahaman konsep IPA setelah peserta didik diberikan perlakuan. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran problem posing, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran ceramah. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah: 1) Terdapat pengaruh  yang signifikan model pembelajaran  terhadap motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep IPA. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh nilai  Pillai’s Trace, Wills’ Lambda, Hotelling’s Trace, dan Roy’s largest Root sig sebesar 0,000 (<0,05). 2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran  terhadap motivasi belajar IPA. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh hasil Manova yang memiliki nilai F = 143.844 dengan sig 0,000 (<0,05). 3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran  terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh hasil Manova di mana harga F = 7,197, nilai P-value untuk kategori pemahaman konsep IPA (Y) adalah 0,000 (<0,05). The aim of the reserach was to determine the effect of the problem posing learning model of learning motivation and understanding of science concepts. Learning with models posing problem is learning that emphasize learners to form or ask questions based on the information or the given situation. Through the implementation of this model is expected to be an alternative to enhance learning motivation and understanding of science concepts learners. The subjects of this study are students of SMP Negeri 7 Depok with a sample of students in class VIII-9 as the experimental class and class VIII-8 as the control class. The method used is the method of quasi-experimental analysis techniques using MANOVA test. The instrument used was a questionnaire of learning motivation and test understanding of science concepts as learners are given treatment. Class experiments using problem posing learning model, while the control class using learning communicative. The results obtained are: 1) There is a significant effect on the learning model of learning motivation and understanding of science concepts. This is evidenced by the value of Pillais Trace, Wills lambda, Hotellings Trace, and Roys Reviews largest Root sig of 0.000 (<0.05). 2) There is significant influence learning model on motivation to learn science. This is evidenced by the results of Manova which has a value of F = 143 844 with sig 0.000 (<0.05). 3) There is significant influence learning model to the understanding of science concepts. This is evidenced by the results of Manova in which the price of F = 7.197, P-value for the category of understanding the concept of IPA (Y) is 0.000 (<0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan CO2 di daerah Yogyakarta dengan menggunakan sensor CO2 dan logger pro. Kota Yogyakarta setiap tahunnya mengalami kepadatan penduduk yang menyebabkan pesatnya pemakaian kendaraan bermotor juga. Ini yang menyebabkan tingkat polusi udara di kota Yogyakarta juga semakin buruk akibat polusi kendaraan bermotor maupun industri. Kandungan CO2 yang seharusnya di atmosfer bumi sebesar 381 PPM. Dalam penelitian ini menganalisis kandungan CO2 di sepuluh tempat keramaian di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan sensor gas CO2 Vernier dan di analisis menggunakan software logger pro. Ketika sensor CO2 bekerja selama 5 menit akan muncul pulsa kandungan CO2 pada logger pro, kemudian dicari rata-rata kandungan CO2. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diperoleh uji kandungan CO2 yang paling tinggi adalah di daerah 0 KM Yogyakarta sebesar 973,2 PPM. Hasil ini melebihi nilai batas ambang rata-rata yang seharusnya di atmosfir bumi yaitu 381 PPM. Oleh karena itu perlu ditanami pepohonan dan mengurangi emisi kendaraan bermotor agar tingkat kandungan CO2 di kota Yogyakarta semakin menurun.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran di dalam fisika memerlukan eksperimen untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang baik tentang konsep-konsep yang terkandung di dalamnya. Metode eksperimen dimaksudkan untuk mempelajari serta mengamati langsung fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi di dalam fisika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendesain rancang bangun alat eksperimen dan menentukan menentukan nilai cepat rambat bunyi dalam medium udara dengan metode Time Of Flight (ToF) dengan bantuan software audacity. Alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam eksperimen ini yaitu laptop, garpu tala, 2 buah microphone, mistar, adaptor, dan software audacity. Eksperimen ini dilakukan dengan memukul garpu tala sehingga suara ditangkap oleh microphone yang nantinya akan ditransfer ke laptop dan terbaca oleh software audacity. Selanjutnya data yang terekam dalam audacity dianalisis dengan metode regresi linear. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat layak digunakan dalam praktikum dan memiliki kemampuan untuk membaca dan menangkap gelombang bunyi dengan baik. Nilai cepat rambat bunyi di udara yang diperoleh sebesar v = (335,27±5,80) m/s dengan presentase ralat relatif sebesar 1,3 %. Hasil percobaan kurang mendekati nilai secara teori (vteori = 340 m/s), ini dikarenakan oleh perbedaan suhu dan keadaan ruang yang bising yang menimbulkan adanya tumbukan frekuensi sehingga pembacaan suara garpu tala terganggu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the value of elastic modulus of aluminum rod using Video Based Laboratory (VBL) and tracker analysis. The subject discussed about the material of elasticity, because the material is still abstract and still related to everyday life. To overcome these problems then created a learning innovation in the form of innovative visual aids that can attract students' responses in physics learning. Experiments are a planned effort to answer a question by creating an activity under controlled conditions. This tool consists of an aluminum ruler, load, slide, micrometer couplers, couplers, balance sheets, laptops, and cameras. The load used in the research varied as much as six loads with mass of 8.5 grams; 16.3 grams; 22.7 grams; 30.6 grams; 38.0 grams; And 45.8 grams. The method used is linear regression analysis the relationship between the square of the period of T2 oscillation to the load mass M and the data collection for the determination of the modulus value of elasticity of the material is done by ruler oscillation with variation of load mass in the video then analyzed by using tracker software. Furthermore, from T2 data to M is done by linear regression and obtained gradient value which will be used to determine modulus value of ruler elasticity. The value of the aluminum rod elastitis modulus (61.91 ± 5.69) × 109 N / m2 approximates the reference value of 70 × 109 N / m2 with a relative ration of 11.6%.

Abstract

Keamanan dan keyamanan adalah harapan hidup seluruh manusia. Saat ini banyak sekali perumahan-perumahan yang mempunyai sistem keamanan yang sangat bagus. Dilengkapi dengan security, CCTV dan alarm anti maling, dengan harapan untuk meningkatkan keamanan komplek. Akan tetapi, tidak sedikit juga perumahan yang tidak memiliki sistem keamanan yang memadai. Alarm peringatan maling saat ini sangat dbutuhkan untuk sistem keamanan rumah, namuun tidak semua orang dapat membelinyakarena harganya yang relative mahal. Mengangkat permasalahan diatas, maka kami melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pelatihan pembuatan alarm anti maling sederhana yang akan di laksanakan di komplek perumahan Pamulang Park Residence. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Hasil produk pelatihan ini dalam bentuk alat alarm anti maling sederhana yang dapat dipasang di rumah masing-masing warga Pamulang Park residence.

Abstract

This study is a literature review. The flipped classroom is the latest pedagogical model that has the potential to change the current traditional way of teaching. Flipped classroom emphasizes on learning activities that promote critical thinking and motivation among the students with the assistance of technology. The flipped classroom allows educators to move from ‘the sage on the stage’ to ‘the guide on the side. The basic and simplest form of flipped classroom is students are expected to watch digital resources prior to class. The students are then required to come prepared for class and perform hands-on activities that are related to the digital resources. The digital resources can be in any form such as video, audio or the internet. This allows teachers to spend more time with their students to carry out in class activities and allow immediate response to students’ needs. Student feedback on this pedagogy was generally very positive with many respondents considering it effective and helpful for learning. One of the biggest advantages mentioned by students is that they had the option to watch each video lecture as many times as required to be prepared for class.

Abstract

The physics problem solving is needed students to overcome the phenomenon of physics.  The development of technology in physics learning is able to explain the concept of abstract physics. This study aims to know effect of use interactive learning media based Microsoft Excel on the physics problem solving. The subject on this media is Heat and Temperature. The research method used is pretest-postest controlled group design. The analysis technique is used t-test with SPSS 16.0 with a margin of error of 5%. The results of this study showed that the mean scores of post-test treatment class students significantly better than the average score post-test control class indicated by the average score of students' post-test treatment class at 80.26 and scores the average post-test control class at 68.00 and with SPSS analyze sig value is 0.000. While the average score gain results-physics students learn physics class treatment significantly better than the average score gain results Physics students learn physics-control class indicated by the average score of physics problem solving gain of 0.77 and the treatment class the average score gain control class student physics problem solving of 0.63.

Abstract

Ideal condition in physics learning should combine concepts with technology. Traditional physics learning causes students to be not interested in learning physics. There must be innovations in physics learning to be more interactive learning. One of them flipped classroom learning. Flipped classroom learning combined with Kahoot online games will make students more active. The purpose of this research is to increase students' learning motivation with Kahoot-based flipped classroom learning. The method used in this research is the quasi-experimental method with the research design of The Randomized Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The research finding can describe as follows: First, the flipped classroom is learning the model that combines face-to-face with e-learning to improve students' motivation in physics learning. Second, Kahoot in a flipped classroom supported as an evaluation model. Third, three main steps in applying the flipped classroom are preparing,  implementing, and evaluating the design.
