<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran deskriptif mengenai tujuan diadakannya tradisi Nyadran yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Jawa Desa Triharjo Kecamatan Merbau Mataram Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif menggunakan data angket (koesioner). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tujuan tradisi Nyadran dapat dilihat dari tiga aspek yaitu sosial ekonomi, religius dan sosial budaya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan tradisi Nyadran dari segi sosial ekonomi pelaksanaan tradisi nyadran tidak memandang status ekonomi dan golongan serta menjalin silaturohmi antar warga, dari segi religius tradisi Nyadran merupakan bentuk rasa syukur kepada Allah, mengingatkan akan kematian dan mendoakan arwah leluhur atau keluarga. Tujuan pelaksanaan tradisi Nyadran dari segi sosial budaya merupakan bentuk pelestarian budaya Jawa yaitu tradisi Nyadran. The aim of this research is to get the description about the Nyandran tradition’s purposes that is done by the villagers of Desa Triharjo Kecamatan Merbau Mataram Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. This research used descriptive methode to get the result of the research by using questionnaire. The result of this research shows that the purposes of the Nyadran tradition is shown by three aspect: socioeconomy, religion, socioculture. Based on the socioeconomy aspect can be inferred that the implementation of Nyadran tradition do not envisage the economy status of the villagers and use for tighten the relationship between villagers. Based on relligion aspect, this tradition is one of the way of villagers to thank to Allah, remind the villagers about the death and pray for ancestors.
