Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of experimental method on student learning motivation and student learning outcomes on rectilinear motion material in grade X at MAN Kendal. This is a quantitative research with a sample of 34 students of class X MIPA 4 as an experimental group and 32 students of class X MIPA 2 as a control group. Data collection techniques using test, questionare, observation, interview, and documentation. The experimental class is given learning using experimental methods and control classes using conventional methods. The hypothesis was tested using t test and simple linear regression. The results of hypothesis test show that learning motivation of the experimental class students is higher than the control class and learning outcomes of the experimental class are better than the control class. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there was a correlation between the experimental method of student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study discusses the utilization of gadgets used for virtual practicum in order to obtain data on students' conceptual understanding in physics subjects with electricity material. This study aims to determine the understanding of students' concepts in physics subjects. Student understanding of concepts was obtained by comparing knowledge before and after the treatment is carried out. This type of research was quantitative research, with sample of class XII MIPA MAN Kendal students. Data processing techniques used pretest data and posttest data between the experimental class and the control class. The average result of the experimental class was 0.28 with the low N-gain category and the average control class was 0.16 with the low category. However, the average N-gain in the experimental class is close to the medium category, thus the average level of understanding of the concept in the experimental class is higher than that of the control class.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the effect of drying and storage period on seed quality and seed growth of melon (Curcuma melo L.). This research was assigned in Nested Design with first factor was storage period (P1 = 0 week, P2 = 2 weeks, P3 = 4 weeks, dan P4 = 6 weeks) and drying period (L1 = 0 hours, L2 = 12 hours, dan L3 = 24 hours). Parameter observed were seed moisture content, seed germination, seed maximum growth potency, length of plants, and number of leaves. The result showed that drying period showed significant affect on seed moisture content. Storage period showed significant affect on seed germination, seed maximum growth potency, and length of plants. Both storage period and drying period didn’t show significant affect on the number of melon leaves.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak negatif globalisasi terhadap karakter Pendidikan anak sekolah dasar. Globalisasi merupakan faktor penting dalam pembentukan karakter setiap individu hai ini berkaitan dengan masalah pendidikan. Faktor utama yang menyebabkan penurunan karakter adalah informasi yang tidak terbatas melalui teknologi yang didukung dengan kurangnya pengawasan orang tua dan kuatnya pengaruh budaya luar. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 071 Sukagalih. Subjek penelitian ini guru dan orang tua siswa. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi adanya pengaruh globalisasi terhadap penurunan karakter siswa. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan guru dan orangtua, hasil menunjukkan bahwa teknologi, terutama penggunaan ponsel berdampak sangat signifikan pada penurunan karakter siswa. Kebanyakan siswa sering mengakses video-vidio pendek yang memperkenalkan gaya hidup instan dan budaya asing yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai lokal. Akibatnya, perilaku siswa cenderung berubah, dengan penurunan rasa hormat kepada guru dan orangtua, serta berkurangnya minat terhadap budaya lokal dan lebih mencintai budaya luar.
