This study discusses the role of the media in conveying information which changes the perceptions, attitudes, and behavior of the audiences. National TV, mass media, and electronic media provide information on the spread of COVID-19 nationwide every day, thus giving a negative impact on tourism development. The tourists do not dare to move out of the area or even travel. This explains that the media can influence the interest of tourists to travel. On the other hand, information media related to COVID-19 aims to handle the spread of COVID-19 optimally. However, since the news of COVID-19, tourists are afraid to move or travel. Loyalty of tourists traveling has decreased. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between exposure to information on the COVID-19 pandemic on the interest and loyalty of tourists traveling. The data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale measurement scale. While the data analysis technique uses smart PLS. The results of this study suggested 1) there was a positive and significant direct effect between information exposure on visiting interest, 2) there was no positive nor significant direct effect between information exposure on tourist loyalty, 3) there was no positive nor significant direct influence between visiting interest on loyalty of tourists traveling, and 4) there was an indirect effect between exposure to information on loyalty through tourist interest as a mediating variable.

The river has a substantial contribution in our life. But in reality the quality of rivers in Indonesia is in a heavily polluted condition. Various river structuring efforts have been carried out such as maintaining cleanliness, managing the smooth running of water, and educating people not to throw garbage into the river. This article aims to identify potential and determine the design in developing the Badung River basin to support the development of cultural tourism in Denpasar City. The technique of collecting data uses non-participant observation, document study, and in-depth interviews. This article concludes that Sungai Badung has a variety of tourism potential that can be developed as a new tourist attraction. The concept of development by designing eco-culinary tourism parks combines the concepts of ‘eco-tourism’ and ‘culinary tourism’ in an effort to create sustainable tourism without damaging the river ecosystem.

Abstrak Tingkat pertumbuhan sarana prasarana pariwisata mengalami peningkatan yang pesat. Hotel, villa, losmen, bungalow atau fasilitas pendukung lainnya mulai terbangun dengan cepat di seluruh kawasan pariwista di daerah provinsi Bali. Pada awal pembangunan fasilitas pendukung pariwisata terfokus pada kawasan pariwisata dekat dengan atraksi wisata pantai, Namun perkembangannya mulai menyebar di berbagai daerah lain, tidak terkecuali pada kawasan komersil dekat dengan ruas jalan seperti Jalan Sunset Road Kuta Bali. Pertumbuhan pembangunan di ruas jalan Sunset Road dari tiap tahunnya mengalami peningkatan yang derastis. Sudah ada sekitar 50an hotel terbangun di ruas jalan Sunset Road Kuta Bali. Fasilitas Hotel ini mengusung konsep bisnis di dalam pengelolaan maupun perancangannya. Pembangunan hotel di ruas jalan Sunset Road Kuta Bali memberikan dampak positif dan dampak negatif bagi kehidupan masyarakat lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengidentifikasi perkembangan pembangunan hotel berkonsep city hotel, 2) Mengidentifikasi dampak pembangunan hotel berkonsep city hotel dan 3) Mengidentifikasi keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pembangunan hotel berkonsep city hotel. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif karena objek yang diteliti merupakan suatu realita yang tidak dapat dilihat secara parsial, objek yang bersifat dinamis, hasil konstruksi pemikiran dan interpretasi terhadap gejala yang diamati harus secara utuh dan menyeluruh (holistik), karena semua komponen yang ada dalam rangkaian penelitian tersebut saling terhubung satu sama lain. Hasil Penelitian memperlihatkan 1) Teridentifikasi perkembangan pembangunan hotel berkonsep city hotel di Sunset Road Kuta Bali, 2) Teridentifikasi dampak pembangunan hotel berkonsep city hotel di Sunset Road Kuta Bali dilihat dari ekonomi, sosial budaya dan lingkungan masyarakat dan 3) Terdeskripsinya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pembangunan hotel berkonsep city hotel di Sunset Road Kuta Bali. Oleh karena itu didapatkan suatu persepsi masyarakat yang menjadi rekomendasi atau masukan bagi pemerintah dalam penentuan kebijakan tentang pembangunan akomodasi yang ramah terhadap kehidupan masyarakat lokal. Kata Kunci: dampak pembangunan, persepsi, city hotel

The rapid development of today's technology encourages every component in the government create a new idea. The government of Denpasar has implemented smart city program by triggering tour package of Denpasar City tour. However, in the arrangement of the Badung River as a tourist attraction by the government of Denpasar is not yet optimaliced in developing its tourism. The potency has not been able to attract tourists to visit the Badung River as a new tourist attraction. Therefore, it needs an effort to develop a river tour package to preserve the local wisdom so that it remains sustainable. The purpose of this research is to plan a river tour through the development of local wisdom-based travel packages in Badung river. This research uses mix method. Data collection is done using interview techniques, observations, and documentation studies. The data analysis used in this research is internal factor analysis using IFAS, external factor analysis using EFAS, and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the growth strategy can be designed by maintaining the local culture and wisdom. It is further developed by planning a tour package of the River Tour which has been tailored to the needs and desires of tourists.

Pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan yang berbasis kerakyatan, diperlukan upaya diversifikasi daya tarik wisata yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat, pelestarian seni budaya, dan pembangunan kepariwisataan yang ramah lingkungan. Salah satu representasi dari pembangunan Pariwisata berbasis Masyarakat adalah pengembangan Desa Wisata. Sejalan Program Percepatan Pengembangan desa wisata yang dilaksanakan oleh Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Pariwisata bersinergi dengan Kementerian Desa, Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal, dan Transmigrasi untuk mewujudkan 2.000 desa wisata, diharapkan peran Perguruan Tinggi dapat melakukan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat untuk mendorong percepatan pengembangan desa wisata. Desa wisata yang akan dijadikan mitra dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat adalah Desa Wisata Paksebali, Kecamatan Dawan, Kabupaten Klungkung-Bali. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah menghasilkan pramuwisata lokal yang kompeten dalam memandu wisatawan, menghasilkan sumberdaya manusia yang mampu mengelola dan melayani penyiapan akomodasi para wisatawan di homestay, meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas fasilitas yang memenuhi standar dan memahami pentingnya standar kriteria sehingga memenuhi syarat sesuai standar yang ditentukan pemerintah. Metodenya adalah melalui program pedampingan desa wisata dengan memberikan pelatihan pramuwisata dan penyiapan akomodasi/homestay. Sasaranya adalah warga masyarakat yang disiapkan oleh kelompok sadar wisata untuk menjadi pramuwisata dan warga masyarakat yang akan disiapkan rumahnya menjadi homestay.

Seaweed cultivation in Pandawa Beach is one of the leading commodities of fishery that is still occupied by coastal communities. However, along with the development of tourism in Pandawa Beach, it resulted in some seaweed farmers switch professions into food and beverages traders, and tenants of tourism services and facilities. This phenomenon resulted in the decreasing of seaweed yields even it was not re-produced. Therefore, it needs a strategy of seaweed cultivation area development as conservation and educational tour in order to preserve the continuity of seaweed cultivation and the sustainability of tourism development; therefore it can improve the prosperity of the community. The purposes of this research were 1) to identify of internal and external potential of seaweed cultivation area as conservation tourism and community-based education in Pandawa Beach, 2) to design the development strategy of seaweed cultivation area as conservation tourism and community based education. The data was obtained from participantsâ€™ observation, questionnaire, and in-depth interviews with six informants consisting of seaweed farmers, cultivation group managers and managers of Pandawa Coastal Tourist Object as primary data, and documentation study as secondary data. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques used were qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, IFAS - EFAS, and SWOT. The findings of this research were 1) Seaweed Cultivation Area in Pandawa Beach had internal and external potential that is useful to be developed into conservation and education tourism based on community, 2) Seaweed cultivation development strategy as conservation tourism and community-based education in Pandawa Beach can be done by making educational tourism attractions, optimizing community-based management system, and optimizing marketing in the development of seaweed cultivation area as conservation tourism and community-based education in Pandawa Beach.

This research aims to know the relationship of five pillars of tourism development in Nusa Penida, Klungkung regency, Bali. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The method is used to get data or descriptive explanation about the potency of tourism development and the role of five pillars in Nusa Penida. Data will be analized use descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of the research is the relationship of five pillars of tourism development (tourist attraction, accessibility, amenities, ancillaries, dan community involvement)in tourism development in Nusa Penida, Kabupaten Klungkung-Bali, have a positive effect to social, economic, and environment in Nusa Penida.

The purpose of the research is to know the factors that become the foundation of a touris attraction in Tirta Empul Temple. The benefit of this research is to organize a tourism region towards sustainable tourism. The research use qualitative method and quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The result of the research is Tirta Empul tourism has good foundation and friendly tourism. It supports the development of tourism in the future. Tirta Empul tourism foundation can be seen from the three factors. That can be seen from the religious, human and environmental. These faktors is a dynamic entity, complementary and not precede each other. This is the secret of balance tourism development in Tirta Empul.

Â Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis secara empiris perbedaan tingkat Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) Karyawan Hotel sebelum dan sesudah Implementasi Surat Edaran Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara Dan Reformasi BirokrasiÂ No 11 Tahun 2014 tentang pelarangan penyelenggaraan kegiatan bagi aparatur pemerintahan di luar instansi pemerintahan di Propinsi Bali. hotel-hotel di daerah Badung dan DenpsarÂ dengan pertimbangan memiliki layanan MICE (meeting, incentive, convention, and exhibition). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisa deskriptif-kualitatif.Â Hasil penelitiannya adalah tidak terdapat peningkatan jumlah pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) karyawan Hotel di Propinsi Bali antara sebelum dan sesudah Implementasi Surat Edaran MenPAN-RB Nomor 11 Tahun 2014 dan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara jumlah karyawan yang di PHK pada saat sebelum dan sesudah implementasi kebijakan.
