Housing is the living space that people use on a permanent or temporary basis. Living space is also expected to have the desired quality. Quality requires construction in accordance with specified conditions and rules. In order to minimize possible errors in the design and construction process and to achieve the desired level of quality, continuous, scientific and instrumental controls are required. In recent years, with the rapid development of technology, methods have been developed that have achieved good results using integrated technology, which has begun to replace the quality controls performed by traditional methods. This new technology partnership called Building Information Modelling and Laser Scanning is described in this study. The aim of the study is to show that human error in building inspection can be minimized with the help of technology. In the study, a building was selected from a sample public housing project. Two dimensional projects of the building were converted into three dimensions using Building Information Modelling. In the current state of construction, point clouds were captured using laser scanning. The point clouds were converted to three dimensions. The construction defects were calculated by overlaying the BIM model with the real point cloud data. After checking, it was found that 2.2 % of the productions were defective productions. It was found that 97.8 % of the productions were within acceptable tolerance limits. The results obtained on a sample residential building demonstrate the importance of these new solutions for quality control and error-free production

Günümüzdeki yapıların artan enerji ihtiyaçlarını verimliliği yüksek olması fosil kaynakları hızla... more Günümüzdeki yapıların artan enerji ihtiyaçlarını verimliliği yüksek olması fosil kaynakları hızla azaltmaktadır. Yapıların yaşam döngülerini en büyük bileşeni olan kullanım evresinde iklimsel konforun sağlanması için maksimum enerji harcanmaktadır. Harcanan enerjinin düşürülebilmesi için önceden önlemler alınabilmektedir. Erken tasarım önlemlerinin bu derece önemli olduğu inşaat sektöründe günümüzde kullanılan bilgisayar destekli simülasyon programları devreye girmekte ve mevcut tasarımlar üzerinden alternatiflerle test etme imkânı sağlayarak üretim aşamasında maliyet ve zaman tasarrufu, kullanım aşamasında kullanıcı memnuniyeti ve uzun ömür avantajları sağlamaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada üretilen üç boyutlu modellerin sanal gerçeklik ortamında yapım öncesi simülasyolarla; meydana gelebilecek aksaklıkları, enerji kayıplarının azaltılabileceği, enerji bağımlılığının önüne geçilebileceği ve enerji etkin yapılar tasarlanırken bu teknoloji sayesinde zamandan, bütçeden ve enerjiden gerek yapım gerek kullanım gerek geri dönüşüm aşamasında ne derece etkili olarak kullanılabileceğini ispatlamak amacıyla Kommagene-Odak isimli kütüphane yapısı BIM ortamında modellenerek Autodesk-Insight enerji simülasyon programı ile enerji analizleri yapılmıştır. Mevcut verilerle gerçekleştirilen analizler model üzerine uygulanan farklı senaryolarla yinelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda yapılarda enerji korunumu ve tasarrufu konusuyla ilişkilendirilmiş ve BIM teknolojisi kullanımının bu döngüye olan faydaları üzerinde durulmuştur.
The built environment contributes to 35% of the global energy consumption and 38% of energy-relat... more The built environment contributes to 35% of the global energy consumption and 38% of energy-related carbon emissions. The exponential population growth, coupled with the inability of the existing building stock to meet demands or reach the end of its lifespan, has precipitated the proliferation of new constructions worldwide. However, it has been proven well that retrofitting existing buildings might impact the environment less, save resources, and reduce the carbon footprint while extending their lifecycle. Various techniques are available to assess the performance of existing buildings and quantify the energy-saving potential of renovation measures. Building information modeling (BIM) technology serves as a virtual laboratory for buildings and can be used to model building stocks and measure how building performance changes with alternative envelope and system proposals. This research study explores the potential of BIM-based energy modeling to evaluate the effectiveness of refurbishment scenarios on a residential building. A total of 192 alternative scenarios were developed by considering six variables (wall, roofing, insulation, glazing, lighting power density, and photovoltaic panels). The results were analyzed across annual energy consumption (fuel and electric), annual/lifecycle energy costs, energy use intensity, annual CO2 emissions, and initial investment costs. The optimum alternative scenario decreased the annual fuel and electricity consumption of the sample building by 61% and 64%, respectively. The payback period was calculated as 12 years. This study demonstrates the impact of BIM in enhancing the energy efficiency of the existing building stock, presenting results within the context of a residential building.

Özet Bir konunun açılımı, kavramları ve oluşum süreçlerini anlamak; onu ortaya çıkaran, doğrudan ve dolaylı tetikleyen etkenleri ve gelişim süreçlerini inceleyerek anlamayı gerektirir. Guirvich'in de değindiği gibi, 'hiçbir şey kendinden kalkılarak açıklanamaz'. Modernizm dönemini ortaya çıkaran kavramlara, oluşum süreçlerine ve meydana getiren arka plan algılarına dikkat etmek gerekir. Bu konu ile ilgili çalışmada da konunun ortaya çıkışını tetikleyen toplumsal süreçler de dikkate alınarak, gerçekleşen değişimin mekân algısına olan etkisine odaklanılacaktır. Mekân algısındaki değişim ve dönüşüm süreçleri konusu incelenirken, arka planda bu konuyu tetikleyen unsurlarla birlikte konu ele alınarak incelenecektir. Çalışma bu temel referansla ele alınarak moderniteyi hazırlayan tarihsel sürece değinecek, ayrıca modernite ve sonrasında ortaya çıkan postmodernite dönemleri olarak adlandırılan süreçleri ve onların yarattığı toplumsal değişimler ve mekânsal üretim süreçlerindeki dönüşümlere odaklanılacaktır. When considering large scale spatial design city examples we find that micro and macro spaces constitute every level of our daily life. The macro space covers all the living spaces of the socially used urban scale (all the open and closed spaces within the urban structure; public spaces and parks, all the structures that make up the city and the transportation network); on the other side, micro place includes spatial designs (indoor spaces and surroundings)used by individuals. In this study, Green public spaces, which are the elements of urban design in the macro plane, are considered as flat transport areas that allow experience, reproduction, potential to meet their demands, liberty and originality in terms of the relationship between the Social actor and the individual with the place. Inrealization of sustainable urban design, Designing the public places within natural environment by the green design and using them as cityparks will be discussed. It also emphasizes that the State and its citizens have a duty to safeguard such rights. The regulations brought by the zoning legislation are of significant importance in terms of the actualization of such duties assigned to the State. However, all the applicable laws and regulations of our nation are continuously revised for the purpose of fixing the emerging faults and irregularities, rather than projecting the future. In recent years, the Zoning Law has undergone a fundamental and radical change, and by way of parallel, the Regulation on Zoning for Planned Spaces has almost completely been renewed and implemented particularly in 2013. In this study, the amendments on the Regulation on Zoning for Planned Spaces of 2013 are discussed in general and the positive and negative impacts of these actual amendments on the use of floor area ratio and housing rights have been brought into question.

Especially with using 2D and 3D design software program to make a building model, BIM make the model especially with building components but not with the lines. By this way, building can be simulated in computing environment before applied on a real construction area. So, all kinds of factors as defects, quality, cost and time in practice are considering to determined before building the final product constructed real construction area,. Moreover business process also predicted and make it possible to be revised the design decisions on the scale of building components and elements.
