This study examined to assess the effect of training and development for employee performance in the commercial bank of Ethiopia, Woldia district. Data were collected through the ve point Likert scales of questionnaires, and the study used mixed research approach. Strati ed sampling method was used to select samples from the target population and the questionnaire was physically distributed to 244 employees of CBE, Woldia district with a response rate of (239) 97. The descriptive analysis result revealed that there is a moderate mean value of training process in CBE, Woldia district and the result of Pearson correlation result shows that training dimension variables have signi cant and positive relationship on employee performance. Multiple linear regression result showed that at 5% level of signi cance there is a signi cant positive effect between independent variables and dependent variables. As (Khan and Iqbal 2020), a rms in their study, organizations are unwilling to invest in training program that has not been su ciently evaluated in terms of its potential contribution to the organizational strategic goals and mission, and its effectiveness and uses on job to achieve the desired objective. The evaluation is carefully designed to utilize the four levels of training effectiveness; reaction, learning, behavior and result derived from the program (Anwar and Shukur 2015). In the Banking industry, human resources, skills and expertise are crucial assets that drive productivity and performance. Commercial bank of Ethiopia (CBE) is the leading and pioneer bank to introduce modern banking to the countries which was established in 1942. Currently, it has more than 1879 branches across the country its more than 38.9 million account holders and numbers of internet banking and mobile banking also reached 39 thousand and 6 million respectively. Regarding to the CBE birr above 17 million subscribers has now. CBE combines a wide capital base with more than 39,101 permanent and 30792 contract employees. In concerning nancial aspects of the bank currently the total worth has above birr one trillion (FB,2022/23 six-months report). Further, CBE should aspire to become a customer-centric bank and its mission is committed to stakeholder s performance at CBE Woldia district. Many research ndings indicate that training has a positive impact on business outcome through increased productivity, improved management skill, reduced production cost easy access to pro tability, and expanded market resulted from new idea from the training (Yassin and Yimam 2022). In some cases, the need analysis determines that employees lack necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to do the job, and the required training. Lack of necessary skills competencies and qualities to perform banking transactions would result into poor performance that creates customer dissatisfaction. They must have the necessary skills and competencies required to do their jobs through training. However, for a certain condition staff training practice effect on employee`s performance appears little or negative. Understanding the effect of training and development practices on employee job performance primarily helps to create competent and well-performed work force. It will also enable the organization to design effective training system, which is t with the overall vision and mission and strategic objectives. So far, it also helps to minimize unnecessary costs, which can be incurred as a result of less important training and development. The study, therefore, will focuses on how providing training for employees of CBE would improve their performance for the provision of timely, e cient, effective and quality of work life. CBE invests large budgets for training and development, however the training evaluation and need assessment is not as expected. This study will contribute in minimizing this gap in the literature and there by establish the basis to understanding of some aspects of human resource management in general training and development for employee performance in particular. Keeping in mind those gaps the researcher found out the effect of training and development on employee performance at CBE, Woldia district. Developing an employee in the areas of training was really used to give employees the job-speci c skills, experience, and knowledge they need to do their jobs or improve their job performance as indicated by (Jeremiah 2014). Training needs could be assessed by examining the fundamental human resources areas: the organization as a whole, the job characteristic and the needs of the individuals. According to (Van Eerde, Simon Tang et al. 2008), a need can be simply de ned as the difference between what is currently being done and what needs to be done. (Amoah-Mensah and Darkwa 2016) describe organizational level analysis as an examination of the environmental constraints, strategies/goals, organizational climate and resources of the organization, to determine where training emphasis should be placed. Results of a task analysis typically include the appropriate standards of performance, how tasks should be performed to meet these standards, and the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (KSA) the employees need to possess in order to meet the standards. Training need analysis at the individual level identi es gaps between a person's current capabilities and those identi ed as necessary or desirable for his job position. Once training requirements have been identi ed using needs analyses, training objectives and priorities can be established by a "gap analysis," which indicates the distance between where an organization is with its employee capabilities and where it needs to be (Murtiningsih 2020). According to (Mathis and Jackson 2010), Objectives of training can be set in any area by using one of the following four dimensions: such as quality, quantity, timeliness, and cost savings as a result of training. (Kumar and Siddika 2017) noted that all the human resource development activities are meant to either improve performance on the present job of the individual, train new skills for new job or new position in the future and general growth for both individuals and organization do as to able to meet organization's current and future objectives. According to (Bafaneli and Setibi 2015) on-the-job training methods are new or inexperienced employees learn through observing peers or managers performing the job and trying to imitate their behavior. The most used methods are: coaching, mentoring, job rotation, apprenticeship., however off-the-job training methods are conducted in separate from the job environment, study material is supplied, there is full concentration on learning rather than performing, and there is freedom of expression (Dessler and Varrkey 2005). Important methods include: classroom lectures and seminars, simulated training (vestibule training, multimedia learning, and case study method). Empirical Literature Review As of (Okechukwu 2017) study, the results indicate that on-the-job training has positive effect not only on employees' performance but also on organizational performance. As cited in the work of (GETAHUN 2007) the delivery of e cient and effective training is required to enhance the productivity of employees and improve their performance. (Mekonnen and Zewude 2021), also conducted a research to determine the effect of training and development on employee's performance in the case of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia. Conceptual Framework The conceptual model formulates to show the association of training and development and employee performance. Therefore, this gure below is simply to envision the bigger picture of the study.

No region of the world has developed a diverse, modern economy without first establishing a successful foundation in agriculture. Food security is an enduring critical challenge in Ethiopia. The 2015 El Niño drought is one of the strongest droughts that have been recorded in Ethiopian antiquity. The study aims to evaluate the impacts of climate change and fertilizers applied on barley yield per hectare from 1987 to 2017 using an autoregressive distributed lag to cointegration approach. The mean barley yield was 11.47 quintal per hectare. The Long run bounded test for cointegration among the variables show signal of a long-run relationship with a short run among climate change, fertilizers applied and barley yield per hectare. Based on the value of adjusted R 2 , the explanatory variables explained almost 76% of the variation in the yield of barley. In the long run estimates every 1% rise in current average dap decrease the yield per hectare of barley by 28.76% at citrus paribus and a 1% rise in current precipitation and rainfall increase the yield of barley by 2.768% and 0.41% respectively keeping the effect of one variable to the other constant. The speed of adjustment is-0.381557 which is highly significant indicating the speed of the adjustment back to the long run equilibrium after a short run shock.

Dairy products are basically based on milk. Milk is used to prepare dairy products, such as butter, cheese, and milk powder. There is always a great demand for milk and milk products among people. This study attempted to investigate the trends in the actual yield of cow’s milk production at Andassa dairy farm. We used secondary data for the study of the daily milk production of cows at Andassa dairy farm. The specific objectives of the study were—to identify whether the milk production is time-dependent or not; to predict in which season the milk production is high or low; to examine the daily trend analysis of milk production; to fit the appropriate model; and to forecast the milk production for the future. The study was conducted based on quantitative variables. So, the dependent variable is the average daily milk, and the independent variable is the time measure at which milk production is measured each day. The study used both descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze the data that were collected from the dairy farms in the sector. This study covered a total of 179 days of milk production. The results reveal that the milk yield of cows is declining, and that milk output is time-dependent, according to the time series plot, and that the model is ARIMA.

This study assessed the prevalence, awareness of risk factors, and prevention and treatment of hypercholesterolemia among adults who visited Woldia referral hospital, Northeast Ethiopia. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among adults who visited Woldia referral hospital from May to August 2022. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire through a face-to-face interview and patient medical record review. Logistic regression analysis was employed to determine the association between hypercholesterolemia and other variables. A p-value at a 95% confidence level was statistically significant. Results: A total of 1180 eligible adults were included in the study. The magnitude of hypercholesterolemia was 26.4%. The majority of the respondents were aware of some risk factors, such as higher fat intake (82.3%), obesity (67.2%), and lack of adequate exercise (56.1%). However, the majority of the respondents were not aware that smoking, alcohol consumption, and age (86.8% for all) had cardiovascular risk. The majority of the respondents were aware that eating a limited amount of saturated fat (56.5%), maintaining a healthy weight (67.2%), and taking prescribed medications properly (86.8%) can prevent the risk of hypercholesterolemia. However, a larger proportion of respondents were unaware that smoking cessation (86.8%), exercise (55.3%), alcohol restriction (86.8%), and stress avoidance (75.3%) can prevent cardiovascular risks. Age (p = 0.036), smoking (p = 0.007), alcohol use (p = 0.013), fruit consumption (p = 0.019), saturated oil use (p = 0.031), level of physical activity (p < 0.001), and body mass index (p = 0.03) were significantly associated with hypercholesterolemia. Conclusion: This study concluded that more than one-fourth of adults had hypercholesterolemia. The majority of the respondents did not have an awareness of common cardiovascular risk factors and prevention and treatment techniques regarding unhealthy lifestyles and physical inactivity.
