transactio... more Notarial acts are present in the daily life of society in general, through them legal transactions signed by citizens obtain legal validity and provide security to the parties, as society evolves and modernizes, notarial activity faces challenges to accommodate new ways of providing its essential service, therefore, this work intends to analyze the impacts that the implementation of blockchain technology through the “e-Notariado” platform caused on Brazilian notary services, providing a historical and evolutionary analysis of notary activity and contracts, as well as a description of smart contracts devices and blockchain technology, finally, seeks to analyze the increase in the use of services in the digital environment, mainly during and after the Sars-Cov-2 virus pandemic using the qualitative-quantitative method, based on the examination of the four editions of the report ANOREG/BR's Notary in Numbers, from this, obtains results indicating a significant increase in the use of notary services in the digital environment, having, illustratively, get around 542 thousand electronic notarial acts since the launch of the “e-Notariado” platform in 2020 until the year 2022.
