Nicholas hoult citations
[edit]hey man i saw you undid my citation. and whilst you originally told me to put one there, I see that may have been a mistake, and that is why you undid my edit once I put the citation there.
I didn't realise it could've been a mistake and thought you might have just been trolling but now I see it was just a bit of confusion between us.
I shall leave the page as is for now have a nice day :] CooperTrooper79 (talk) 09:21, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah. I think when I originally reverted you I didn't realize you were updating the lead of the article. Usually the lead should just be summarizing information that's already present within the body of the article, so as long as the info is sourced in the body of the article, there's no need to cite it in the lead. This is discussed at WP:LEADCITE. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused; happy editing! DonIago (talk) 15:33, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
Plot Summaries
[edit]So, why is it bad to include a lot of detail from a film/book/show/comic/manga? I thought it would give a good idea of what goes on. SuperMadWolf (talk) 15:46, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
- The reasons are best laid out at the various links included in the notice I left on your page, but essentially our goal is to provide concise summaries that will give a reader the information they need to understand the overall plot, but not to get overdetailed with it, and generally for plot summaries there are word count guidelines as well.
- Happy to try to answer any other questions you may have; I just feel it would be better for you to look at the arguments that shaped the guidelines as they stand than for me to try to recap them. DonIago (talk) 16:53, 30 March 2026 (UTC)

Context re Davey and Goliath
[edit]Until recently Jonathan Reed redirected there. I realized later after making that edit that said redirect made no sense and took the redirect to RfD instead. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:03, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I'd be curious to understand why the redirect was put there in the first place, assuming there was any reason for it. DonIago (talk) 01:08, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
