This site of repression was established in 1938 as a camp for one of the Labor Battalions (Batallones de Trabajadores, BBTT) instituted by the Francoist army and remained in operation until the spring of 1939. The work, a continuation of a general project on the materiality of the concentration camp network in the province of Guadalajara, aimed to clarify data regarding the living conditions of the prisoners; the distribution, morphology, and uses of the different structures that made up the camp; as well as to establish connections with other similar cases already studied and identify potential general characteristics of such spaces.
