I am a social and cultural historian with interests in migration, ethnicity and state of Inner Asia and China. My current research explores how Han Chinese and Manchu settlers changed their legal status, acquired Mongolian cultural knowledge, and ultimately were integrated into Mongolian society under Qing rule.
