The field of her scientific research religious and mythological representations and rituals of the Slavs and other nations. She has been studying issues related to ethnosemiotics, folklore and myth theory, Slavonic Studies, and has reconstructed the ancient Slavonic spiritual culture and its codes. She wrote about 500 articles published in national and international press, monographs entitled «Plant Symbols of Belarusian Folklore» (2000), «Dendrological Code of Traditional Belarusian Folklore» (2004), «Space and Man in Belarusian Folklore Dendrological Code» (2006), «Slovak folklore: forms, genres, poetics» (2010), «Mythology of color in the traditional spiritual culture of the Belarusian» (2011), «Arnithological code of the Belarusian traditional spiritual culture» (2019) and the tutorials entitled «Student Folklore Practice» (2007), «Introduction in folkloristics» (P. 1–2; 2009, 2010) and «Belarusian mythology. Cosmology» (2018), «Belarusian mythology. Anthropology. Demonology» (2019). She shared the authorship of the monographs «Man in relation to animals, plants and machinery in the culture» (Człowiek w relacji do zwierząt, roślin i maszyn w kulturze. – W-wo Uniwersytetu Śląskiego, 2014.: 2 t. T. 2. / red. J. Tymienieckiej-Suchanek. – Katowice. S. 15–32), «Words and things in language and literature» (Słowa i rzeczy w języku i literaturze. Tom monograficzny pod red. J. Siepietowskiej i W. She is a member of editorial boards of the scientific magazines «Myth and folklore» (Lvov), «PAX SONORIS» (Astrahan), «Literature. Folklore. Problems of Poetics» (Kiev), «Scientific editor of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University» (Luck) journal, «Zoophilologica. Polish Journal of Animal Studies» (Slenzk). She is a scientific editor anthology of local lore «Asromeczevskij Manuscript» and scientific-theoretical journals «Vesnik of Brest University» and «Belarusian Folklore» (Academy of Science of the Republic of Belarus). She is a member of International Scientific Commission of IOV (International Organization of Folk Art), Commission of Study of Folklore of International Slavonic Committee, Commission of Study of Ethnolinguistics of International Slavonic Committee, «Polish Ethnology Association», International Research Laboratory «Animal Studies – Third Culture» (Polish).
She is the head of the research teams that worked on the projects «Semantics and functionality of natural landscapes and colors of characters in the Belarusian folklore genres: tradition and innovation 21 beginning of the century» and «Structural and typological parameters of codes the Mythopoetical World Model» State Program for 2011–2015 and «Zoological code of the Belarusian traditional spiritual culture (the records of the XIX–early XXI century)» State Program for 2016–2020 and «Belarusian Folkloristics in the modern world: methodological, problem-thematic range, theoretical innovations» (Grant from the Belarusian Foundation for Basic Research; 2020–2022).
She is a subcontractor international projects«Music of the Polish-Belarusian border zone» within the program of cross-border cooperation «Poland – Belarus – Ukraine» (Poland, Vishnjica, University of Marie Curie-Sklodowska, 2014–2015), «Catalog of the national towels of commune Bielsk Podlaski» (Podlaskie Museum in Bialystok, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland) – 2015; 2017), («ATLANTYS Program» (University of Nantes,France; 2017), EU / UNDP project «Local Development Assistance in the Republic of Belarus» (2018).
She is a propagandist of folk culture, crafts in the domestic and foreign press, national television (carrying television programs, films, leader of seminars, master-classes of folk culture. Chairman and member of the jury at the Folk Festival in Belarus and Russia.
In 2014 – lectured on Mythology of time and things at the Karl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg (Germany) for undergraduates, graduate students and professors.
In 2016 – lectured “The points of contact in Orthodoxy and Shiism” at the University of Isfahan and the University Of Quran And Progeny (Iran).
In 2019 – delivered lectures on folk calendar, wedding ceremonies and symbolism of folk art of the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Anhui University (China).
