But further research has been happening to obtain cost effective composite material with better mechanical and water resistant characteristics. In this research , Effect of various Natural filler on GFRP were studied. Natural filler selected for study are Egg shell, Prosposis Julifora, Sugarcane bagasse (SCB), Water Hyacinth, Human hair. Laminates were prepared with epoxy resins, hardener to bind Natural filler to GFRP , machined to ASTM required dimensions for various testing to study relevant mechanical properties and water absorption characteristics.

Natural Fibres and fillers are attractive over man-made fibres and fillers due to their advantage... more Natural Fibres and fillers are attractive over man-made fibres and fillers due to their advantages low-cost, Bio-degradability, light weight, High Specific strength. Fibers and fillers, which is abundantly available in the nature and having high strength, has paved way to its usage as a natural fiber of the fabrication of a composite. The parameters such as tensile strength, tensile modulus, elongation at break and flexural test were carried out on the prepared samples. Corrosion parameters such as salt spray test, HCl test and oxidation test have to be conducted for studying the fracture and failure analysis under corrosive environment. Thermal behavior based on convective heat transfer, flammability, flash point and fir point, and Thermogravitometric analysis has to be carried with the test standards. Chemical analysis with chemical composition and durability analysis has to be carried out for all the fiber and filler materials in analyzing the robust behavior of natural fiber based polymer composites. This paper reviews the research done with natural fibers and fillers reinforced polymer composites.

A novel product of engineering invention developed to provide continuous electric power is a device known as electric generator. The machine combines the knowledge, skills and training of mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering disciplines to develop a fossil fuel based engine which convert the chemical energy to mechanical energy and then to electrical energy. The by-products of the operation of this devise are an emission in the form of CO gas and noise which create environmental hazards and constitutes challenging global menace such as greenhouse effect and disability in man. We investigate on acoustic enclosure performance with 2kVA generator which is used widely. Acoustic enclosures are made with Natural filler reinforced glass polymers as base material and their Sound ReductionIndex(SRI)were studied.

The process planning is an activity within the production process that translates design requirements into a detailed descriptive instruction for transforming the raw materials to finished products. Design requirements are normally generated from customer survey conducted by the marketing team of the company while developing the new product. While planning the process in the shop floor, we need to give importance in understanding the product requirement and identify the product critical characters and process critical characters. To meet this productrequirement, we should establish process capability, monitor skill matrix of the workers, Mistake proofing of required processes, as an integrated approach and this papers deals about it, also it gives clear view regarding manufacturing quality maturing index-a novel approach in maintaining the desired product quality consistently.

Machining of hardened steel is particularly common in bearing and automotive industries. The new achievement in machine tools technology and use of new cutting tools provide the opportunity to take loads from hardened steel through process such as lathing. So, the need to find optimal control factor and percentage of contribution by the process parameter is considered important to achieve product with desired quality. In this paper, Effect on machining parameter such as Speed, Feed, Depth of cut on output machine responses like Material Removal Rate(MRR),Machining time, Tool wear and Surface roughness is studied using Taguchi method.

Around the 1950s, when people become aware of ill health associated with asbestos, Fiberglass becomes their obvious replacement. Fiberglass is made of glass and created synthetically, whereas asbestos is a naturally available material, extracted from the ground like many other ores of minerals and metals. Natural Fibres and fillers are attractive over human-made fibers and fillers due to their advantages of low-cost, Bio-degradability, lightweight, High Specific strength. Natural fillers such as Prosopis Juliflora, sugarcane bagasse, Human hair, Eggshell, Water hyacinth. These fibers and fillers, which are vastly available in nature and having high strength characteristics, has paved the way to its usage as a composite material (natural fiber ) fabrication. The parameters such as tensile strength, compressive strength, impact strength, and water absorption properties were investigated in this research among various GFRP +Natural filler composite materials. The best one was identified. The application of GFRP+Natural fillers was studied using it as the base material for acoustic enclosure of portable 2kVA electric power generator, and respective sound insertion loss(or absorption loss) values were obtained for various distances. Of all the natural fillers understudy, GFRP+ Human hair exhibit better characteristic in all aspects and confirmed it has a high strength-to-weight ratio, high corrosion resistance and low maintenance, and ease of fabrication. GFRP-based materials can handle the high structural load, serve as an excellent cost-effective repair material, increase durability, and is an excellent alternative to conventional materials. In short, the Application of Material science in Occupational safety and health is investigated in this research.
