Throughout the Biblical text, Epidemic episodes are the bookends of human presence, thought about both a piece of beginning human community, and a part of the very completion of mankind. The epidemic is a scourge happening on a scale, which passes global frontiers, typically influencing an enormous number of individuals. In a basic manner, an epidemic is a pestilence, with higher extent regarding topographical territory, number of cases and long periods of enduring representing death (Samal, 165). Human populace has experienced numerous epidemics from the dawn of history, be it the previous type of smallpox, tuberculosis or the ongoing occurrence of Coronavirus, so the Human history is plagued by the deadly epidemics of catastrophes that caused the demise of empires and kingdoms, which were once dominant, prosperous, and the best example. This paper will discuss the impact of the Epidemic throughout history on the different flourished empires and how the scourge destroyed the economic, political and military systems of many empires such as Greek, Roman, Aztec and others. It also tries to outline how the Epidemic devastated the tremendous armies in short times, and killed great talent leaders before performing their tasks and getting their aims, for instance Alexander the Great.

This paper examines the representation of diasporic Arab female writers' experience in the Americ... more This paper examines the representation of diasporic Arab female writers' experience in the American society. The paper discusses the diasporic identity and consciousness in Arab diasporic fiction in the United States. It also traces the ways in which Arab diasporic women encounter the sense of otherness and multiple forms of exclusion that builds their estrangement in the diaspora. The study draws on several theoretical models such as cultural assimilation and trauma. However the three female characters in the novel reconstruct identity through interaction between old homeland and the new host society and between the eastern culture and the western culture. It reflects how they appear as a hyphenated subjects, depicting the challenge of cultural conflict and the sense of displacement. This paper tries to answer questions like: Are the Arab diasporic female characters able to assimilate and integrate with American culture?, Are they able to compromise between their Arabic traditional cultures of their Homeland with the culture of the host land? and Does American culture affect the behavior of these female Arab Immigrants? The paper exposes the hybridity and diversity of these Arab diasporic female characters. The character Hala desires to be accepted by the American people, experiencing as a consequence, a kind of frustrated assimilation. The conflict between what she experiences in America and what her family wants her to be. Also the paper sheds light on the stereotypes of the Arab immigrants in the American society. It shows how the character Khadija suffers the acculturation and how she couldn't adjust herself with her American friends and their open sexual relationships which are against her Arabic culture.

Language and culture are inseparable and can be simply described as two sides of the same coin. Understanding of culture is very important for understanding any language. Mitchell and Myles (2004) argue that "language and culture are not separate but acquired together, with each providing support for the development of the other" (p. 235). Differences of culture may cause many mistakes. This paper aims at answering the bewildering questions: 1. what is the effect of Arabic culture on learning English language. 2. What are the difficulties that Arab students face in learning English language due to the differences in culture? Language not only changes people's values and habits, but also affects people's identity and behaviors. While English language learning involves a number of different skills, including grammar, writing, listening and speaking so this paper will show the impact of Arabic culture on learning these four language skills. Also, we cannot ignore the impact of language on the culture of the people. Language and culture are extricabley connected.
