Mais on tente de circuler autour de cette intuition levinassienne qui est présent dans l'oeuvre de Lacoste dès 1990, de Note sur le temps alors. L'intuition est réitérée dans presque chaque livre du penseur de Rue de Chaillot : la rencontre intersubjective est tel que l'autre me peut parler vrai, me dire la vérité et cela, il nous dira, change tout. Ce que la rencontre intersubjective change, tout d'abord, c'est tout une posture philosophique : pour me dire vrai, il est nécessaire que vérité il y a. C'est cette thèse que nous devons examiner aujourd'hui. Pour faire cela, je propose d'examiner de plus près, c'est-à-dire phénoménologiquement, un ou deux situations dans laquelle la vérité est à l'enjeu, mieux, est l'enjeu lui-même, de la rencontre intersubjective. On examinera brièvement deux situations a) Pierre vient et me dit la vérite sur tel ou tel situation et b) je dis Pierre son vérité sur une situation qu'il ne veut pas voir comme tel. Les exemples sont présents, en éclat, dans l'oeuvre de Lacoste. Il faut juste les rassembler pour qu'elle peuvent prendre forme.

Editor's: "Calvin Ullrich's chapter, 'Radical Theology as Political Theology: Exploring the Fragm... more Editor's: "Calvin Ullrich's chapter, 'Radical Theology as Political Theology: Exploring the Fragments of God's Weak Power,' seeks to show how Caputo's theology is not a prolongation of the formalism of a Kantian sublime but rather opens onto a materialist politics. Ullrich aims to do this by briefly recalling Caputo's reception in Germany in most often hermeneutical theological circles and recent rather secular philosophies. Whereas the first seeks to retain more than just the 'name of God' by clinging onto God's omnipotence, the second tends to see in Caputo just an inversion of power where weakness now is the ultimate name of God. Over and against these German responses, Ullrich proposes to see a political theology at work in Caputo's theology more straightforwardly: its messianic import is nowhere else than in a material engagement in the world. Caputo's truth is a truth in the making, a 'doing God' which binds God's insistence to us and us to God. In conclusion, Ullrich urges Caputo to take one more step and move to a 'cosmological reduction,' which at long last might shed the remains of an all too humanist tradition."
