Catharine Trite (Fookes) Holloway (1795 - 1859)

Biography

Catharine was christened on August 2, 1795 at Church Knowle, Purbecks, Dorset, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Fooks.^[1]

John Holloway married Catherine Fooks in Bristol, Gloucestershire on 19 November 1821.^[2]

John and Catherine had six children.

1. James Albert b. 1822 in Poole
2. Isabella born Bristol in 1824
3. Alfred b. 1826 Poole
4. Augustus b.1828 in Church Knowle
5. George Grale b. 1831 Church Knowle
6. John Henry b. 1837 Church Knowle

In 1841 John and Catherine and four children, James, Isabella, George and Henry are living in Church Knowle.^[3]

In 1851 John and Catherine and two children Isabella and Augustus are living in St James Poole. John is a brush maker.^[4]

Catherine Holloway died 1 April 1859 in Poole aged 64.^[5]
