See more Wally T @RT47580736 01/02/2025 I thought this was the best sitcom ever made! It even surpasses Friends! You could tell from the pilots first show that it was going to work. Several of the first shows did not have the maid Berta or Rose but once they were introduced it really came together. Also unlike other sitcoms they didn't use the same angle on the jokes over and over as it stayed fresh and possibly even got better peaking during season 5. It only fell apart during the Ashton Kutcher's shows that just didn't work. See more Mike P @RT35394098 02/28/2024 For all the bruhaha surrounding this show; it's really just The Odd Couple and My Two Dads spliced together. With a dark sensibility injected to make it seem early millennials hip... Starring Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer; it's an Odd Couple brotherhood; where Sheen plays the bad boy, and Cryer plays the nerdy goody two shoes; and then we have Cryer's precocious son in there to mix things up...And it's a massively popular Chuck Lorre family sitcom that tried REALLY hard to be dark and inappropriate. And to have a cool, frat boy vibe...And it kind of tip toed around all this Farrelly Brothers and gross out humor type stuff; all this dark stand up comedian comedy Central SNL type stuff. But at it's core it's actually pretty sweet; and old fashioned, even... A found family of three; the Harpers; and their maid, mother and various Interlopers; and all of them trying to get through life; helping each other along. Occasionally making a vicious quip here and there. But it's all out of love really... And they're ALL jaw droppingly eccentric and inappropriate at times...But they're still good people. Overall: recommended. 👍 Cute frat boy comedy from the tv factory of the Odd Couple, My Two Dads and My Three Sons; which is both edgy and old fashioned in one fell swoop...
