Here, DCT and IDCT operates at a supply voltage of 1.28 V and 1.13 V in the exact mode, respectively. The different supply operating voltages are demonstrated in Figures 12 and 13 for different approximations and truncations considering varied bits. Table 4 demonstrates the percentage power savings considering varied approximations and truncation against the base case. Approximation 3 saves the maximum power.
