List of animals from which samples were collected Collection and preservation of samples: Freshly voided fecal sample were collected from the animals with the assistance of the zoo caretakers. Immediately after collection, the samples were transferred to a collection vial containng 10% formalin. During collection of the samples special attention was paid to prevent any type of contamination. About 50 grams of feces were collected from each animal. Basic information and important history related to the individual animals were recorded through a preformed questionnaire. After that samples were brought to the laboratory through maintaining a proper chain and were stored at 4°C until analysis. carefully with a pipette.
