As nc medieval document describes the borders of the village, they cannot be identified with certainty. The met- allurgy-related archaeological phenomena presented here are scattered in the border of the two settlements Solymar and Kovacsi, 1.5—2 km away from the respective medieval settlement sites. This paper is a prelim- inary survey report calling attention to the well-preserved and diverse archaeological record of an Arpac Age (and possibly partially late medieval) ironworking site in the forested area.
