CASE STUDY OF CZECK TRANSLATION: “The problems in the art of translation with special reference to English versions of Tirukkural “ were dealt by Dr.V.Ramasamy in his book published by International Institute of Tamil Studies in 2001. While dealing with Tirukkura and its translations, the author, had chosen translations of G.U.Pope, W.H.Drew, F.W.Ellis, V.V.S.Aiyar, K.M.Balasubramanian and _ that of P.S.Sundaram as samples for analysis and comparison. He has analysed the syntactic problems in translation, stylistic problems in translation, cultura problems in translation, semantic structure and translation problem etc. Each work with various editions in source language generating various translations needs to be subjected book wise to translation studies.

Tradition holds that it is literature tha Ma t is important and that Eluttu and Col are instrumental to it” opines Indra nuel writing about Literary Theories in Tamil.

Eladi belongs to the J ain tradition of Tamil literature. This book contains largely aphorisms meant to be addressed to J ains but they are of universal value to the entire human kind. Over and above these precepts, two main ideas — renunciation and realization predominate the theme of Eladi wrote Professor G.Lakshminarayana, Vice Chancellor of Dravidian University, Kuppam Dr.Prema Nandakumar had translated Eladi published by Dravidian University in 2007.
