7. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Figure 4, 5 and 6 summarize the results obtained in the first experiment. Figure 4 (resulting from the feedback of the first experiment) confirms that the list resulting from the recommendation algorithm was most often chosen, obtaining almost 50% of the total number of selections. The most popular news list comes afterwards, with 29% of the selections and finally the random list. Only a small difference is observed for these two lists, showing that not always the users enjoy popular news. Results are consistent independently of the position of the recommendation list in the experiment, as depicted in Figure 6, showing that there is no bias on the analysis.
