Figure 1 Diagonal half of a Domino renders The Dom triangle. The 1:2:V5 right angled triangle, with its catheti in ratio 1:2, is preferably mentioned as Dom. The name, Dom is derived from ‘half a Domino’, since it is obtained from the Domino, which is a double square, or a 1:2 rectangle, by dissecting it along the diagonal. Also, this Dom triangle is invariably formed during division of a line segment into Golden Ratio, by Exteric division, as well as by Interior division methods.
