In terms of geographical structure, the Seyhan River Basin consists of high steppes, mountainous areas, transition zones, low planes and Cukurova Delta. The part of the basin up to the Seyhan Dam is defined as the upper Seyhan, while the lower Seyhan is located between the river mouth of the dam and the Mediterranean Sea. The lower basin is dominated by the Mediterranean climate, however the middle and the upper basins are in Cukurova P agricultural fluenced by the continental climate (MEU, 2011). ain is one of the most fertile and productive ands of Turkey and of the world.
