This research is intended to learn the effects of rubber core and braided outer layer on the mechanical proper- ties and the static failure behavior of the aforementioned helical composite springs. In order to improve the rela- tive reliability of the experimental results, three sets of springs are fabricated and measured to find out the aver- age values with their upper/lower bounds of the spring constant, the failure load and the maximum compres- sion for each kind of spring structure.
This research is intended to learn the effects of rubber core and braided outer layer on the mechanical proper- ties and the static failure behavior of the aforementioned helical composite springs.
