Table 1—-Summary of comparison between LAMP and PCR techniques various end-point and real-time detection systems. The strong strand displacement activity of polymerase results in target se- quence amplification without the need of accurate thermal con- trol by thermo cyclers. Thus, the denaturation step is omitted in the LAMP reaction, which is otherwise a basic requirement for conventional PCR methods (Gill and Ghaemi 2008). The LAMP reaction can further be accelerated (30% to 50% faster) by us- ing loop primers (LB and LF) with FP, BP, FIP, and BIP primers (Nagamine and others 2002). These loop primers hybridize to the available stem loops which are not hybridized by the inner primers. The LAMP method can also be combined with the reverse tran- scription process to amplify ribonucleic acid (RNA) sequences. the LAMP technique for the development of microfluidic chips or devices for POC analysis of meat quality parameters.
