The position of luminescence dates obtained from these sections is shown by the stars. There is limited information on late Quaternary stratigraphy in this region. At Duinefontyn and False Bay, measured sections show a succession of dune sediments interbedded with a variety of palaeosols and calcarenites (Figure 2). At False Bay, emergent dune sediments are located above a wetland surface with peat
