Of the 71 samples analysed, 62 samples (87%) were found to be contaminated with at least one of the 12 analysed EAs. In Figure la the number of EAs co-occurring in the analysed samples is reported; among the positive samples, 27% contained only one EA, while the eight samples (13%), four wheat-based and four rye-based, presented more than nine different EAs.
