Topology is defined as the pattern of connectivity or spatial sequence of members or elements in a structure. The allowable space for the design in a topology optimization problem is called the design domain. The topology is defined by the distribution of material and void within the design domain [2]. The design domain for topology synthesis is selected as rectangle with thickness 10 mm as shown in Figure 5. Figure 5. Design Domain for Topology Synthesis. Topology synthesis is carried out in Ansys 18.2 using topology optimization tool with optimization problem as defined below:
