Figure 17 These shapes have been recorded from almost majority of the sites excavated/explored in. the middle Mahanadi valley region containing Iron Age (Phase-II) deposits. Large- sized, hand-made storage vessels of course fabric in Red Ware have been recorded for the first time from this phase at the site of Kantipuleswar (Figure 17), indicating intensive agricultural activities.
