Atsite 3 (Figure 8), the wavelength of the megaripples ranged between 50-60m and so did the surface wavelengths, at a depth of 4-5m offshore. At site 5 the megaripples had a wavelength between 35-45m while the surface wavelengths were between 50-60m. At site 6, a noted reduction in surface wavelengths of 35-50m was also reflected in reduced megaripple wavelengths of 25-35m. As the surface wavelengths continued to decrease down the bay at sites 8B (30-40m) and 9B (25-40m), instead of megaripples, ripples on sandwaves were seen in the offshore region (Figure 9).
