Firstly, while each social solidarity generates a narrative on a given situation, none has the privilege of being more right or complete than the others. Sociocultural Viability Theory analysis is not about identifying who is correct. Secondly, despite the language used (egalitarianism, individualism, etc.), Sociocultural Viability Theory is not a theory of personality types. People move between different social solidarities as they seek to make transactional sense of dynamic situations. Each of these ideal type visions of each social solidarity are the attractor points people move between (Thompson 2008b). Thirdly, the situ- ation depicted is dynamic — as the world changes (by people's action or otherwise) it may be increasingly difficult to sustain a particular worldview.
