This paper analyzes a model focused on the strategic behavior of agents in network settings where both network formation and information acquisition are mutually influential. It highlights how social links facilitate information dissemination, creating positive externalities, while being constrained by the costs associated with collecting information and establishing connections. The findings indicate that in equilibrium, agents tend to form a star architecture, where one agent collects all the information, influencing both network structure and information distribution.
