This paper presents the development of a novel force sensing material, termed 'plubber', which can be applied to circuit boards for creating interactive environments. The research outlines the advancement of modular sensor arrangements that enable dynamic reconfiguration of force-sensitive flooring systems. Two historical systems, the MagicCarpet and LiteFoot, are discussed to illustrate the evolution of interactive floor technologies, while future applications, including therapeutic uses for movement therapies, are also explored.
