Abstract
In neuroarchitecture, belief in architectural or environmental determinism, the idea that human actions result from the external stimuli of built environments or climate, is a necessary component. Another notion takes a behavioral science point of view, where human agency makes the greatest contribution.

Perception is a mental process through which sensory experiences are meaningful and the human way of affairs finds objects in things. Urban architecture and urban designers today have special attention to the cognitive perception of human behaviors because such behaviors are closely related to the physical environment. Human interaction is based on the work of the designer of the environment. In such a way that designers always seek to design a physical environment in such a way that it is capable of having adequate interaction with humans, so to understand the necessary behavior, both the environment and the interaction between the two are considered. Nowadays, the design of various forms of the built environment relies on their knowledge and consciousness before they rely on the emotions of individual designers. The introduction of designers to knowledge that is directly or indirectly contributes to the design profession makes it possible for designers to adapt their proposals more than ever, and thus environments designed by them provide the necessary conditions for a human life. Understanding the environmental psychology along with other behavioral sciences can play an important role in this regard.

Architecture has traditionally been a practice that is aligned with the arts and thus inclined towards 'aesthetics' as its theory base. The statements that architecture is primarily an art and that architects act more like artists has been popular among both students of architecture and practicing architects alike since the times of Inigo Jones and continue to be so. Within this architecture as an art paradigm however, there has been a major focus upon 'people' from the time of the Bauhaus to date to the extent that teaching of psychology and social sciences have been considered major inputs to architectural education. Since 1970s and particularly since the failures in mass housing and modern architecture, this paradigm has faced severe criticisms, challenges and indeed alternative theories that a number of new disciplines have emerged both within the main stream architecture discipline as well as the social sciences that are concerned with the human settlements, societies and people.

The concept of place and the necessity of understanding the plan and thus the reality of architecture has always been an important issue for architects. The mental and psychological effects of architectural frames on human beings have been considered from the early shelters to todayNs modern structure. Since the human behavior is performed in defined spaces, it is necessary to design the physical space based on peoples behavioral characteristics. In this papar, different perspectives on the relation between psychology and architecture as an interdisciplinary plan in two areas of perception and planning are studied. First, some general concepts and principles are presented and then an attempt is made to integrate the two. The main purpuse is to study how the designed environment by man affects his mind and soul in terms of function, form and other factors and also how the architecture is affected by controlling the behavior and individual as well as social motivation based on the pr...
Are architects able to design buildings whose frameworks help to promote the creativity and reduce social and internal dissonance of people and try to increase its efficiency in the environment? Answering this question needs understanding of factors affecting the issue, including understanding of the concepts and approaches of work alongside the rest of the directions in architectural design. By short overview of the concepts and procedures of perspectives on environmental psychology and its link with the architectural design in this article, it has tried to introduce the basic and new knowledge which is as old as 3 decades with artificial and manmade environment. The present article also turned its attention to expressing valuable theories of Environmental Psychology that awareness of them can have special significance for environmental design. In this article discussions about importance of understanding these issues for the design and especially architecture are presented. In the end, this writing has dealt with the summary and the final goal of the issue, which is architecture design within the modern science framework of environmental psychology and approaches and ideas. INTRODUCTION Man since its inception is busy exploring nature, which has always been unknown and mystery to him, and is seeking comfort and efficiency of existing environmental conditions to gain peace. Architects and designers pay special attention to psychological understanding and further exploration in human behavior and nature in the environment because these behaviors are closely related with the physical environment. What separates Environmental Psychology from the other branches of psychology is examining the relation between behavior based on the human psyche and the physical environment. Thus, attention of designers to psychological investigating of designed spaces has created an inextricable link between environmental psychology and them. Environmental psychologists have committed themselves to the study of human behavior in his daily environment to be able to directly or indirectly investigate effects of physical environment on human behavior.

The main effort of this article is to discuss the design theory development theory in architecture theory. Over years, many of sociologists and psychologists begun to study and research in design business, designers and architects’ issues of interest. In addition, some people in fields of interior design, architecture, landscape design and urban design, have done structured research using behavioral sciences and this group grows larger day by day. Both groups believe that behavioral sciences can develop some models and concepts that lead to clear understanding of human-environment relation. The goal is to increase the skills of designers in interior, building sets and better environment and landscape design. Some psychologists believe that built environment has a little effect on human life. Some designers believe that behavioral sciences are just playing with words and makes simple works complex. Another group worried about complexities that can be solved by eye witness, decays by using the decremented philosophies. But if a good understanding of behavioral sciences in design theory development takes place, these considerations fade away. In conventional view point, believed that moral values of visitor can be separable of his/her vision and one can study the universe unaligned. The goal of making a clear foundation of environment design focal point is to determine a set of defined patterns such as: 1, Decision making process in environmental design procedure.2, Built environment and its usage and reaction of people.3, Physical nature of built environment and its results in daily human living spaces.

The ability to imagine and project the psychological effects of innovation was part of an architect’s toolkit since ancient times, but an aggressive u-turn in the late twentieth century left ‘architectural determinism’ as an expletive – especially in schools of architecture. Without the right to project a fantasy, the potential of design is shackled. Without imagination and belief, ideas about better working, healing, living and learning environments cannot be properly explored. The result is that architecture has lost its mojo: there’s stagnation in academia and this filters into the profession. What is an architect for, when they can’t stick their neck out for good ideas that may just work?

Research on the relationship between the built environment and human perception, behaviour and experience is by no means new to the fields of architectural and urban studies. Relevant traditional methods used to address these issues include post-occupancy surveys, ethnographic and phenomenological approaches as well as observations of behaviours and movements in spatial settings (e.g. space syntax). However, a fresh perspective into the embodied experience of the built environment comes to complement these attempts. Neuroacrhitecture and neurourbanism are two emerging research fields that take advantage of the advancements in neuroscientific knowledge, and cutting-edge technology e.g. VR and biosensing (eye-tracking, EEG) to gain a deeper understanding of the brain-body-environment relationship. These fields are rapidly gaining traction and the translation of research findings into evidence-based design parameters is vital for creating spaces that fit our situated emotional and cognitive needs. The paper adopts a theoretical stance inviting the reader to re-imagine how neuroscientific knowledge on the mind-body-environment interaction can be generated and translated in formats that can inform architectural and urban design. The paper offers a brief review of the neural turn in architectural and urban studies, followed by a detailed discussion of the main challenges (and potential remedies) related to the translation of such biological evidence into design research and practice. The paper aims to draw attention to the potential valuable contribution of neuroarchitecture and neurourbanism in evidence-based design practices and the development of urban policies that can positively shape our everyday experience.
