Abstract
This abstract book includes all the abstracts of the papers presented at the 17th Annual International Conference on Education, 18-21 May 2015, organized by the Athens Institute for Education and Research. In total there were 161 papers and 179 presenters, coming from 40 different countries (Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Turkey, UAE, UK, Ukraine and USA). The conference was organized into 38 sessions that included areas such as Higher Education, Education and IT, Online and Distance Education, Pre-School Elementary Education, Educational Psychology, Language Learning, Educational Administration, Secondary Education and other related fields. As it is the publication policy of the Institute, the papers presented in this conference will be considered for publication in one of the books of ATINER.

A regular collection of the materials of the Conference “Actual Problems of Education” MIP 2015 contains the abstracts recommended for publication by the Organizing Committee. The authors of these abstracts are the academic staffs and other employees of different higher education institutions as well as the representatives of the partner organisations participating in the Conference. The abstracts and presentations concern both the problems of improving the quality of the education process on the basis of the latest pedagogical and information technologies and the issues of preparing future specialists and updating the content of the delivered disciplines with the aim of their orientation to the requirements of the present labour market of Latvia and Europe. The collection has retained the authors’ style and the original layout of the presented materials.

The impact of the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education will not be limited to the actors involved in the learning process, but will change the institutional infrastructure, relations and patterns of behaviour within the education system, and even the content of education. ICT provides a means to instruments the revolutionary changes called for by the revolutionary transitions in society. ICT as a tool to support the learning process holds a promise in new solution for the challenges that education is facing. During such a course, teachers acquire knowledge and skills for successful implementation of computer technology in their teaching. Also, attending the course leads to changes in the attitude of teachers towards the use of computer technology in their teaching.

EXAMINING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF USING TECHNOLOGY IN ENGLISH EDUCATION TO TEACHERS: PROJECT-BASED REVIEW
Making learning-teaching processes effective is possible by making students more active by providing environments rich in learning experiences. In today’s world where information is processed, produced and transmitted at high speed, it becomes important for teachers to develop the knowledge and skills they need to have and keep up with the times. This issue highlights the use of instructional technologies, especially in foreign language learning and teaching processes. Information and communication technologies (ICT) provide students with various learning experiences that are similar to the real-life experiences they need in learning a foreign language, regardless of time and place; In other words, it allows them to experience it wherever they want, whenever they want and as much as they need. One of the basic needs of 21st century people is to access information and communicate effectively in a global context. In this respect, both knowledge of English as a foreign language and the use of computer and communication technologies are of increasing importance. R
