The dominant motive of this project "Bus Tracking and Ticket Booking" is to originate the trouble-free way to book the tickets. This is the online system that assists the users to make their reservations online and utilizing this will save the precious time of the people. As one won't need to go somewhere or stand in the long queues. That's why it is most desired. By using this application, it enhances the managers to systematize the tickets effortlessly. And allocate the online records and security by setting the password. Ticket reservation system is the spotlight online reservation software that utilizes to permit adding an account and additionally managing bookings and reservation. It steadily transmits a graphic selection of map or a selective area and acquiring the bookings and payments from the customers. The visitants are competent to get the details of the untaken tickets from the website and they can also examine the graphic of the seats that are unengaged. It is crucial for one to make the acquiring of the tickets to be manageable and also make the trading of tickets easy for the management. The superior purpose of this website is to make it uncomplicated for the users to buy the tickets and also reserve the seats of the alternatives. The people who use inner city public transportation vehicle want to get information about the different public transports form one stop to another, current status of the public transportation vehicles and they want to know the travel time of the vehicles both while travelling and waiting at the bus stops. In India buses plays a vital role in transportation. Mostly people prefer public bus transportation because of its availability. Most of the people hates to wait for ticketing and likes to move by means digitalize format to reduce the time of waiting. The major problem faced by the passengers are more waiting time, non-refund of balance etc. So, to provide best experience we proposed methodology for e-ticketing application. In this application user needs to enter the bus number along with source, destination details and number of passengers. Once all the information is filled, the total amount for the travelling will be reduced from the e-wallet and the passenger will get the e-ticket by means of message which will contains all necessary information and a e-ticket id which will be used for authentication purpose. Passengers can also to track bus using the bus number which will be provided by means of GPS and passengers also able to get know about the time of arrival. This application will be useful to plan by knowing the location of the bus and reduces the waiting time.

The use of bus in traveling is a large growing business in the world. Hence, bus reservation system deals with maintenance records of each passenger who had reserved a seat for a journey. Moreover, the ticketing system includes maintenance of schedule, fare and details of each bus traveling. This paper is a web-based application that will manage the scheduling of buses in all bus terminals of a transport company and also analyses the basic needs of passengers and design requirements of the transfer algorithm, and influence factors for effective running. Whole world is facing COVID-19 pandemic problem. The virus is primarily spread among people during close contact, most often through small droplets produced by coughing, sneezing and talking. The World Health Organization advised to wash hands, wear masks, maintain social distance, and disinfect personal belongings for preventing spread of corona virus. Motive to work on this prototype is that to maintain social distancing while travelling in state transport bus system. Because of the pandemic situation, bus transport system allowed only limited number of persons to maintain social distancing. This system does the reservation by following the social distance norm. The unit of reservation system is kept on state transport bus station. Here the passenger can purchase ticket using NFC Card. The passenger swipes the NFC Card and then selects the destination. The seat number will be allocated keeping in mind social distancing norms.
This project aims to provide an effective solution for maintaining Bus pass information using a database. The system has two logins, one for user and other for admin. Online bus pass Generation system is a web application for people to get Bus passes through online. This system was intended to develop an application to perform functionalities like accessing the basic information for authentication and provide Bus pass to a particular person without placing him/her in a queue for a long time. Online bus pass generation system is helpful as it reduces the paper work, time consumption and makes the process of getting bus pass in simple and faster way. User can refill their account and extend the validity every time when the pass expires. Admin can view all users' details and balance through its login. This system is helpful to people to get bus pass from anywhere in the Karnataka state and no need to worry about renewal of the Bus pass.

It is very clear that people spend so much time in a bus station or park due to the fact that some empty buses will be wasting time in a particular station, while commuters will wait for the bus in another station of the same transport company. This is a web-based application that will manage the scheduling of buses in all bus terminals of a transport company. With this software, an administrator can manage bus station or terminals departure time, routes, vehicle type and driver including the cashier(s) for the terminals. Taxi reservation system is developed for the Association of Taxi Companies Batu Pahat. The system is developed based website aims to facilitate users taxi company to make a reservation. Application of this book will be approved by the administrator. The system administrator can update the taxi booking application and issue a report on consumer booking system. This system was designed and developed using the prototype model approach has four phases: Planning, Analysis, Design and Implementation. Interfaces are used to develop this system is Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. The programming language used is PHP (Hypertext Pre-processor) and XAMMP used as a web server. With the taxi booking system, consumers will be able to make reservations online as well as make it easier and save time. Factors colour selection, concept presentations, text and colours were chosen to suit the theme of the show and the ease of use and feel the comfort in using this system.
Public transportation in many countries is being used as a means of transport for travelling and accordingly people would prefer these public transportation to be scheduled properly, on time and the frequency be increased for commuters to make good use of it. It has been found that quite an amount of research work has been carried out, in this sector, by way of using RFID technology in the public transportation systems towards the tracking of passengers when they board and exit buses. In addition research has also been carried out in using GPS towards the tracking of buses along with RFID technology at traffic lights, bus stops, intersections etc and displaying expected arrival times on LCD screen at bus stops along with their current positions. Taking these aspects into consideration, an intelligent mobile bus tracking system for the Jamaican Urban Transport Corporation as case study has been proposed which enables commuters towards tracking the bus of their choice and also knowing their expected arrival times. In addition to tracking, the proposed system also notifies the passengers on their mobile towards topping up of credit in their RFID enabled smart tickets for traveling, well ahead in time. The above System proposed has been validated using Android in this research which allows commuters towards tracking of buses and knowing the expected arrival time. In addition commuter been reminded on their Android mobile handset towards topping their credit on their ticket towards travelling. The above two solutions would alleviate the challenges faced by commuters in respect of referring to the static bus timetable or looking into LCD display screen which would inform the expected arrival time of the next bus. The implementation of the system has been carried out using Android emulator.

The adoption of mobile applications on smartphones and tablet computers has become increasingly common among businesses and service providers. It has been proven to be rapid and successful in engaging the attention of consumers, communicating new technologies, and developing processes such as ticketing systems for transport companies. This research employed agile methodology in developing an Android-based mobile ticketing system that involves assessing current processes, suggestions for improving and optimizing processes, designing software, creating, implementing, and system evaluation. The ISO 9126 Software Quality Characteristics were used as a survey questionnaire to determine the user's acceptance level on the quality of the develop system in terms of functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and portability where participant ratings were scaled, mean scores were measured and interpreted qualitatively using a 5-point Likert scale. Results indicate that mobile bus ticketing system (MBTS) implementation and adoption is generally acceptable using the ISO 9126 characteristics as viewed by system users and were participants in this research work. Therefore, for the adoption by the bus operator, MBTS is highly recommended for successful and more efficient transactional processes, knowledge generated is readily accessible and useful for taking decision. In the future, further development of this research can be considered and work on the incorporation of other emerging technologies. Widespread use of mobile apps allows the production of more sophisticated mobile applications and more potential to be explored. Researchers working on similar study can find operators of large bus companies operating in the northern part of the Philippines.
