Outline

Graduate students' beliefs about learning a second language

2018, The Bulletin of the Faculty of Humanities, Fuji Women’s University

Abstract

While extensive research has been conducted on language learning beliefs of undergraduate college students, scant attention has been focused on the beliefs of graduate students. This study examines graduate students' (N = 81) attitudes toward language learning using the BALLI (Horwitz, 1987). Results are reported, along with an assessment of how well these beliefs are aligned with the consensus of SLA experts.
