Abstract

Cyberspace add new threats to individuals and organization (Kim & Solomon, 2014, p. 460). In the United States of America, there has been a number of compliance laws and regulations to ensure and enforce cybersecurity. Due to the increase of the security measurement some freedom right may get interfere with the enforcement of the security measurement, which can lead to an abuse of the rights, or regulation in relation with the cyber-crime investigations. According to Police Executive Research Forum (2014), criminals are switching from unlawful drug sales to cyber-crime to make money, “because cyber crime is easier and safer for the criminals” (PERF, 2014). Therefore, the government created a number of compliance regulations, to ensure that organizations following the correct path to prevent the loss of information, especially organization that dealing with a large number of customers, like schools, university and colleges, hospitals, and other type of institutions.
