Why We Do Need An Immediate Global Scale Answer To Climate Change

Abstract

It is now recognized that climate change is an anthropogenic issue, provoking an expected increase of global temperature of approximately one half degree Celsius and about 75mm of sea level rise in the next two decades – being the further projection even worse – with huge damages in human habitat. Briefly describing climate change related risks, the aim of this paper is to demonstrate the causal relation between environmental change and national and global security. In the conclusions, some recommendations and suggestions will be given in order to try to comprehend the possible solutions to the already on-going climate crisis.
