Abstract

Neuro-anatomical configuration of brain shapes can be analyzed by different methods, in which, structural information of brain shapes can be statistically visualized through modalities like, PET, MRI and fMRI. Extracting information from three dimensional time series of brain is still a challenging task of medical researchers and radiologists studies of brain shape have been carried out by many researchers. Changes in brain volume may happen due to factors like age, disease, alcoholic effect etc. This paper mainly focuses on ways to acquire brain information from three dimensional time series of functional magnetic resonance images. The results of the experiments carried out shows the effectiveness of the statistical parametric map used for brain information visualization.
