2025, Self Published

Abstract

The rapid globalization and technological development all over the world has brought new technology advancement for the population. As people are enjoying the benefits of technological advancements their privacy and security has also been under risk. For catering the demand of better services, the organizations are using data collected from different devices for understanding the preference of customers and providing services. This has led to the organizations collecting large volumes of data from every device and network used by the customers and individuals. The organizations have all kinds of customer data like health, finance and personal data of several individuals (Nahai, 2018). The collection of such data is for providing better customer services and enhancing user experience. But there are also demerits of collecting such types of data. Collecting these data can also affect the user’s privacy and security. Several regulations and provisions are necessary so that organizations do not use this data for ulterior purposes (Prajapati, 2025). The regulations guide the organizations and companies for using personal data of the citizens of a country and the place of business operation. It helps in reducing crime and misuse of data. The laws and regulations force the companies to follow strict data privacy policies and maintain effective security standards so that the chances of data breach is reduced and there is no loss of data. This is an approach to keep the user data secure. Loss of such personal information can affect personal lives of several individuals within a country. Thus, there is a need of various data privacy regulations like General Data Protection Regulation issued by the European Union parliament.
