The practice of clinical blood transfusion is rapidly developing into a specialty m which complex administrative, technical and economic procedures are becoming routine activities. The blood bank serves as the nucleus for transfusion medicine, a transplant practice which has developed into a distinct supportive entity within most clinical disciplines of the medical sciences. The main responsibilities of the blood bank relate primarily to the identification, testing, interpretation, transcription, storage and retrieval of information in the chain of operations from the collection of blood from the donor to the transfusion of blood or blood components to the recipient. In this complex system of operations the introduction of computerization and the use of computers play a major role in enhancing safety, accuracy and speed of administrative, technical and quality control procedures, in improving record keeping and enlarging storage capacity while reducing space, and in facilitating access and retrieval of information. Computerization can also support the multitude of identification and interpretation steps and reduce the manpower required for transcription and reporting procedures, thus improving both safety and efficacy. Computers are electronic devices which can operate at different levels of complexity, depending on the design, memory, compatibility with other devices used for data collection and processing, the computer language and available software. The main use of computers in blood transfusion is in automation of the fundamental procedures in administration, quality control and blood processing, inventory management and financial control, with emphasis on safety, efficacy and cost reduction. SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT The development of a blood bank computer system should be carefully planned. The team of users and systems analysts should define the specification of requirements following a careful analysis of the system of operations and anticipated developments. Once the current practice has been analysed, a scheme of the operation can be drawn (Figure 1) and the flow charts, based on different steps in the procedures, designed. Automation systems and information technology can greatly help medical facilities to improve their working efficiency and optimize the whole workflow. This article surveys electronic information management in blood donation and transfusion service, and explores the rationale and archetype of blood bank information systems, then exemplifies a successful in-running system—Sistema Integrado de Bancos de Sangue (SIBAS), which is developed by the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering of Macau (INESC-Macau) in cooperation with the Macau Blood Transfusion Center (CTS-Macau). Its implementation and the related lessons are briefly introduced too. In essence, this article is oriented to serve as a reference of contemporary blood bank information systems.

The aim of this method is to satisfy every blood request by exploitation Arduino UNO, GSM, inside the planned system, information about the donors are collected in nearby hospitals and different blood banks. These data are stored within the information. Persons who are in need of blood have to send their needs and the Arduino reads the necessities. It fetches data of the respected donors from the database and sends SMS to the recipients through GSM module. The main information of the donors will be displayed in digital display.
