Abstract

This paper reports on an experiment in assembling a domainspeci c machine translation (MT) prototype system from o -the-shelf components. The design goals of this experiment were to reuse existing components, to enable the use of machine-learning tools for parser specialization and for transfer lexicon extraction, and to make the transfer as powerful as possible.
