Abstract
Abstract- Automation systems offer many possibilities when developing safety and energy efficiency related to resident housing. Automation has been most widely used in public buildings but the use of these systems is constantly generalizing in residential housing. Teaching of building automation is not very common today. In HAMK University of Applied Sciences the degree program in automation and research center AutoMaint are specialized in process- and material handling automation as well as in remote control- and diagnostics applications related to industrial business service. With the increase in the use of building automation more is invested also into developing teaching of building automation. A learning environment for building automation has been created, which can also be used as a web-based learning environment. Key Words- Automation, building, remote laboratory, softPLC..

Multidisciplinary Aspects of Production Engineering
The article summarizes the experience, skills of the students of technical subjects teaching methodologies using a number of software products. Solve specific assigned tasks described in this paper. Task is about the problems of automation and mechanization in the industry. That helps to improve the skills of praxis, through the design of construction and of controlling. Specifically it focuses on introducing automation in the wood industry. Article describes the design of the automation process for marking wooden hammers. Similar problems are solved by students in Computer Aided (CA) systems. The control process of automation is realized through the electro-pneumatic circuits. These circuits are creating in software FluidSIM 4 that is used as a simulation tool. FluidSIM 4 is comprehensive software for creation, simulation, instruction and study of electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic and digital circuits.
A building that uses both technology and process to create a facility that is safe, healthy and comfortable and enables productivity and well-being of its occupants. With lots of energy crisis in today's world now it's important for architects, engineers and construction managers to make buildings which are energy efficient and intelligent by its functions and as well as its usage too. Building automation is the automatic centralized control of a building's heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting and other systems through a Building Management System or Building Automation System (BAS). The objectives of building automation are improved occupant comfort, efficient operation of building systems, and reduction in energy consumption and operating costs. We are designing a system for building automation .In which PIC18F4520 microcontroller, different sensors like temperature sensor, light sensor and motor to automate the system.

Automation technologies are widespread within many manufacturing sectors today. It is widely accepted that some of these technologies can be implemented in the industrialized housing industry. The efficiency and productivity of this industry can be improved by employing existing as well as emerging automation technologies available on the market today. This paper presents current technologies already being used in other areas of construction as well as those under research and development. Finally, a concept for the 21st century industrialized housing manufacturing facility is presented, depicting advanced automation and information technologies including computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), material requirements planning (MRP), automated material handling and control systems. In addition, a conceptual layout of this facility is presented.

First, I would like to thank Allah Almighty, for giving me the strength to fulfill this task. It would not have been possible without His will. This thesis work has been carried out in 'Smart building technologies and services' research group, Aalto University. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Prof. Jaakko Ketomäki and Prof. Heikki Ihasalo for giving me this wonderful opportunity to work in their research group. I would like to thank them for their ideas, advices and valuable suggestions regarding my thesis. I also want to thank my instructor Mika Maaspuro for his suggestions and corrections in the report writing and helping throughout my thesis.
To simulate and remote control a Domotic House (a real house with first and second floor and 175 square meters habitable), we used the virtual LabView software, indicating the main windows of the inner space and the diagrams for their functioning. For a complete automation, was build a control panel to visualise technical alarms and intrusions alarms (burglar) and a different panel to monitories the state of the windows and revolving shutter (open/close). The access gates in to the courtyard for people and vehicles are automated. The intrusion alarm is activated through the magnetic and impact sensors (for windows) and the technical alarms are activated through water, gas and smoke detectors. Optionally those two alarms can alarm acoustical and optical or making phone calls to preset numbers.

his article gives an overview of the general concepts, underlying technologies, similarities, and differences in the factory and building automation fields and explores issues and trends. Particular emphasis is put on the information aspects in automation, such as communication and integration, that used to be a central topic during the last few decades and are being addressed by maturing solutions only recently. The predominant overall goal of automation has always been to make processes more efficient, in the sense that automation relieves humans from work that can be delegated to machines that can ultimately do it faster, with higher precision and output, and at a reduced cost. This approach is applicable to various aspects of life, and therefore, it is no wonder that automation has different faces covering discrete manufacturing (the first economically important application area of automation), continuous processes, energy generation and distribution, building control and management, transport telematics, and many more. Finding means to implement automation and achieve its ambitious goals has always been a driving force for the art of engineering and a challenge for diverse fields such as mechanical engineering, control engineering, computer science, and of course, all facets of electrical engineering. In particular, industrial electronics plays an important and actually twofold role in automation. On the one hand, electronic systems are an essential prerequisite for all modern automation concepts. It is therefore not surprising that an

This article describes the main stages of a project used in Home Automation (Home Automation), highlighting many general aspects about advantages and disadvantages of investing in this automation, costs and availability. The forms, propositions and compositions are also exposed for a Home Automation System to work in a pleasant way that can meet the needs and demand of a demanding emerging market. The illustrations in the course of the article proved to be not so simple to program. There is a need to find qualified professionals in the area of home automation for the complete fluidity of the project. A complete model is proposed where the main difficulties are highlighted and resolved. Abstract. Building and residence automation, specially the first, is a promising area of research and business since the beginning of the 90 s. However only part of the features envisaged have being implemented (although with success) and even a small partr of them have being treated more formaly. Thus, there are very few publications concerning building and residence automation, and the success obtained so far is based in a transposition from techniques and equipment used in industrial automation.

The construction scenario is changed from an ancient working system to the current working system. There are several innovative techniques improved in the last decade. The structures are now light in weight, but load-carrying capacity more simultaneously constructions of building technique also improve. Nowadays, the automation technology used for constructing a building saves money and time along with labour safety. It would not be an overstatement that it is the "Ideal construction Technique". The term "Ideal Construction Technique" means to reduce wastage of material, labour safety, increases productivity, material management, labour management, improve quality of work and within estimated duration and cost. This research's framework is focused on developing preventive factors of implementation of automation technologies in construction industries. The research area covers four main aspects: level of using advanced technologies in various countries, knowledge about automation technologies, future opportunities, level of uses in the construction area, and impact of utilisation of automation technologies.
