Abstract
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an auto identification technology which uses Radio Frequencies (between 30 kHz and 2.5 GHz) to identify objects remotely. The paper describes a system which does the job of detecting, billing and accounting for vehicles as they pass through a tollgate using RFID as the identification technology. In the design, a frequency of 928MHz is used as it is in the Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. The system is a great investment in the transport industry. It reduces the common ...

The present research proposes an automated toll plaza system, denominated as ”DATPS,” which employs RFID and GSM modules. The study is conducted with a particular focus on the Bangladeshi context. The present study proposes an RFID-based system that involves the deployment of RFID tags affixed to vehicle windshields. Information embedded on the tags is subsequently captured by RFID readers, thereby obviating the necessity for manual payment of toll fees and ticket collections by vehicle owners and toll authorities, respectively. At this point in time, the sensor module of the radio frequency identification (RFID) receiver initializes the identification process of the vehicle by cross-referencing its unique data against the comprehensive database. In the event that the validation status demonstrates positivity, the monetary toll is systematically debited from the proprietor’s designated Bank Account or Mobile Financial Service. Conversely, infrared (IR) technology has been utilized to detect the movement of vehicles during the operation of gate opening and closing. To appraise the efficacy of the proposed system and its functionality, a prototype Digital Automatic Toll Payment System (DATPS) has been developed through the integration of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) modules with a microcontroller. Consequently, ensuring transparency in toll payment can be achieved through mitigated reliance on manual labor and the consequent reduction of human errors. Thus, the optimization of creating an intelligent transportation infrastructure will be facilitated.
Automatised toll gate system using passive Radio Frequency Identification emerges as a converging technology where time and efficiency are the matter of priority in toll collection systems of present day. In order to overcome the major issue of collision, in our project the reader is placed in a strip which is laid beneath the lane, and the tag is placed in the front side of the number plate. The object detection sensor which is placed on the side of the road detects the approach of the oncoming vehicle and intimates the stepper motor to raise the strip. Thus the reader raises to ground level and reads the information in the tag and the transaction takes place through a centralized database and the aftermath details of the transaction is intimated to the user's mobile through GSM technology.
Manual toll systems in India are found everywhere at present. This paper focuses on an Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. The main goal is to accomplish the contact less toll payment. In this thesis we will discuss RFID based Smart Toll Collection System as a solution to solve the traffic problems and also to maintain transparency of the toll collection system. The aim of the project is to design a system, which automatically identifies an approaching vehicle with the help of the RFID tag. A vehicle will hold an RFID tag with a unique identification number which is placed on the windshield of the vehicle. This number will be assigned by RTO or traffic governing authority. In accordance with this number we will store, all basic information as well as the amount he has paid in advance for the TOLL collection. Thus the reader reads the information in the tag and the transaction takes place through a centralized data base and the aftermath details of the transaction is intimated to the user’s mobile through GSM technology.

In this endeavour, we address the issues saw toll court and furthermore present ID structure for vehicles against which stolen and fiasco cases are chosen to utilize RFID. Right, when the vehicle encounters Toll Collection Unit it is named pilgrim or things passing on a vehicle subject to its Unique Identification Number. A stock vehicle is weighed at TCU and in the event that it is overload , by then accused of the additional expense. UIN is passed to Central Server Unit where the correspondence gets deducted from the record. Right, when the night out is deducted at CSU it will show TCS to open the blockade and vehicle is permitted to pass. On the off chance that vehicle is perceived to be stolen at CSU, it will display TSC not to open the blockade. Besides to vanquish the issue of endeavour at homicide cases crash territory part is acknowledged utilizing piezoelectric sensor in the vehicle to perceive RFID of influenced vehicles. These subtleties can be utilized for further development.

Transportation is the backbone of any country’s economy. Due to increasing number of vehicles on the road, problems such as congestion, air pollution and many others have become a major factor of concern. Traditional toll collection booths require a number of operations like stopping the vehicle, lowering the window, finding the correct coinage or valid card before travelers can continue their journey. This research paper describes the Electronic toll collection system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. As time and efficiency are a matter of priority nowadays, the traditional method has to be reformed. In order to overcome the major issues of traffic congestion and time consumption RFID technology is used. RFID reader fixed at tollgate frame reads the tag attached to windshield of vehicle. The object detection sensor in the reader detects the approach of the incoming vehicle’s tag and toll deduction takes place through a prepaid card assigned to the concerned...

AVITC is an Automatic Vehicle Identification and Toll Collection used for collecting toll tax automatically. This paper focuses on an Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. In this system we do identification of vehicle with the help of radio frequency. Each vehicle will hold an RFID tag or card. This card is nothing but unique identification number assigned. This will be assigned by RTO or traffic governing authority. In accordance with this number we will store all basic information as well as amount he has paid in advance for the TOLL PLAZA. The tax amount will be deducted from his prepaid balance. As vehicle doesn't have to stop in the queue, it assures time saving, fuel conservation and also contributing in saving of money.

The computerized toll gathering framework utilizing latent Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag rises as a persuading answer for the manual toll gathering technique utilized at tollgates. Time and productivity are a matter of need of present day. With a specific end goal to defeat the real issues of vehicle blockage and time utilization RFID innovation is utilized. RFID peruser settled at tollgate outline (or even a hand held peruser at manual path, on the off chance that RFID labeled vehicle enters manual toll paying path) peruses the label joined to windshield of vehicle. The article recognition sensor in the peruse identifies the methodology of the approaching vehicle's tag and toll reasoning happens through a prepaid card doled out to the concerned RFID tag that has a place with the proprietors' record. This makes tollgate exchange more helpful for the open use.
This research paper describes the automated toll collection system for toll gate based on RFID technology. Most of the toll collection systems commonly used in Myanmar is manual transaction. Nowadays, streams of traffic are increased and toll gate on highways are congested. It will cause the traffic jam and waste time. The objective of this journal paper is to transform manual transaction to automated toll collection with the help of RFID technology. There are three portions in toll collection system. They are RFID system, balance deduction system in host computer and toll gate control system. For the RFID system, 13.56 MHz passive RFID reader and tag pairs are used.
This paper focus on an automatic toll collection system using RFID technology. The technology uses a active tag that are mounted on the vehicle each tag has contain a unique identity code. In this system we used the concept of Radio Frequency at toll plaza The RFID reader (receiver) is connected when the vehicle reaches the toll plaza the connection between the vehicle and toll plaza is automatically created so there is no need to stop a vehicle at the toll plaza. It provide ease of payment to vehicle user at toll plaza. The amount of toll tax is automatically deducted from ID. And the user receive an SMS on this mobile after pass the toll plaza so the RFID technology reduce the man effort reduced time wasting and reduced congestion at toll plaza.
