Abstract
Bohm's holistic reframing of physics in Wholeness and the Implicate Order (1980) has direct relevance for consciousness studies. Bohm's interest in meaning reflects his theory of wholeness, with its structure of implicate and the explicate orders, which, together, form the 'holomovement'. In this paper, we expand on Bohm's wholeness approach to science and his linking of meaning to mind to produce a coherent wholeness model of consciousness. This model goes beyond traditional dualist approaches to philosophy, mind and consciousness by privileging the agency of the mental and does not rely on the causality of any physical functions or structures, such as the brain or nervous system. The model's two integrated levels-universal consciousness and local minds-are based on the distinctions of implicit and explicit meaning, the grounds of Bohm's implicate and explicate orders. We call this organic totality, with its absolute fullness of meaning, Omni-local consciousness.

A holoflux theory of consciousness as energy is hypothesized and shown to support both local and non-local properties. This thesis emerges from an integral evaluation of evidence drawn from three sources: (1) the holonomic mind/brain theories of Karl Pribram, (2) the ontological interpretation of quantum theory by David Bohm, and (3) the hyperphysics of consciousness developed by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Applying an integral methodology to superimpose and correlate seemingly disparate concepts from among these sources and others, a composite theory emerges, a “holoflux” theory of consciousness, after the term favored by Karl Pribram to describe David Bohm’s “holomovement.” This Pribram–Bohm composite holoflux theory is shown to be congruent with established principles of physics, mathematics, and electrical engineering, as well as with what Pierre Teilhard de Chardin termed “hyperphysics.”

A holoflux theory of consciousness as modulated energy is hypothesized and shown to support both local and non-local properties. This thesis emerges from an integral evaluation of evidence drawn from: (1) the holonomic mind/brain theories of Karl Pribram, (2) the ontological interpretation of quantum theory by David Bohm. Applying an integral methodology to superimpose and correlate seemingly disparate concepts from among these sources and others, a composite theory emerges, a "holoflux" theory of consciousness, after the term favored by Karl Pribram to describe David Bohm's "holomovement" between an explicate order and an implicate order. This Pribram-Bohm composite holoflux theory is shown to be congruent with established principles of physics, mathematics, and electrical engineering. Extending the panpsychist paradigm that consciousness is inherent in the structure of the universe, the thesis describes a dynamic energy process bridging the explicate space-...

In this paper, we argue that Bohm's unbroken and undivided totality he called the holomovement, the title he gave to the concept of the self-organizing universe, is more coherently understood when viewed as universal consciousness. Bohm's understanding of consciousness oscillates around being a quality of local minds and the interconnected totality of the holomovement. We suggest such equivocations impose limitations on Bohm's general holistic framework because they import into his model the limiting restrictions of Cartesian separation and are, therefore, incongruous for use within his holistic model of the holomovement. We also argue that the term 'meaning' has a structural and functional agency appropriate to Bohm's model of the holomovement, while also reflecting the living characteristics of this organic totality that is full of meaning.

Some views of holism fail to fully encapsulate the structure and independence of consciousness while others are reductionist in their insistence on a strict structure. After examining holism and mental state consciousness, I move to my own proposal for the structure of consciousness: experiential swaths. By highlighting the phenomenal interdependence of some aspects of consciousness without conceding that all aspects are so strongly intertwined, experiential swaths allow for further conceptual structurization within consciousness.

A framework for defining the physical basis of consciousness is derived in terms of the complementarity inherent in the cosmology of a continuous state conscious universe as it relates to self-organized living systems. The activity of a dynamic counterpart of standard static Casimir-like modes is described by an extended spacetime Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics in terms of a 12D Topological Field Theory that integrates gravity, electromagnetism and relativistic quantum field theory to develop the noetic action principle. Inherent self-organized teleological and intentional action on the spacetime geodesic cavities of the dynamic Casimir-like modes is mediated by a specific nonlocal unitary exchange quanta defined as the Noeon, that is indicative of an elan vital which also becomes associated with information and processing in the microtubule, synapse and other arenas of quantum brain dynamics where 'consciousness' couples to biological structure and biochemical species in terms of an elaborated definition of Eccles original philosophical concept of the Psychon. Novel ideas involving the cosmological Noumenon and brain Holoscape are presented including a basic mathematical formalism for the noetic action principle. 290

We present a general discussion concerning the wholeness of what has been called infinite awareness, but here is called Omni-local consciousness. This model of consciousness has an interconnecting structure that has both local and nonlocal features, that is, the model contains local conscious human minds and locates them within an infinite (Omni) background context of consciousness. This holistic model of Omni-local consciousness is exemplified through an examination of its internal structures of meaning, evident in the exchange relations between its two polarities: local minds and nonlocal, Omni consciousness. Following David Bohm's assertion that, ‘The activity of consciousness is determined by meaning’ [10, p. 102], we propose that the content of consciousness in every circumstance is always defined by the metaphysical conditions of meaning.
Toward a unified theory for consciousness ?, 2025
I think, therefore I am or I am therfore I think ? Our modern occidental society is grounded in the first assumption to understand the deepest part of our being : consciousness. In contrary, eastern tradition grounds the foundation of existence in the second assumption. In order to approach a unified paradigm around consciousness, we need to take the time to choose between the two philosophical standpoints. The first standpoint underlies that a turn-on brain activity generates consciousness and the meta-cognition proper to a human being. In the second oriental based hypothesis, consciousness is primary and a turn-on brain is a constrain for consciousness. In this paper, the main purpose is to propose an experimental orientation for consciousness based upon the second assumption. The theoretical approach will encompass different possibilities to explain how consciousness is related to brain activity but also why it is not directly linked to slow processes such as chemical processes, otherwise it could be linked to a higher degree of information integration in the waves processes such as interferences, resonance and synchrony, illustrated by cymatic imagery. In this case, consciousness could be linked to high integrative states in between different planes such as the linear / temporal plane and also, the spectral / non-linear plane called hilbert spaces. The missing gap in between the two "expressions" of consciousness could be what is currently known as "cymatic" which represents a holographic storage process of informations inside the harmonic patterns of brain waves interferences. We live in a world of waves and frequencies where informations are stored, moreover, no information is lost in the transformation of energetic movments in nature, how consciousness might be different ? " Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed " This quote coming from the chemist Antoine Lavoisier refers to the chemical aspects and the linear processes occuring in nature. If we make a step further and take consciousness as primordial, we could say that : nothing is lost, everything is created and the transformation is illusory regarding consciousness because all the informations could be stored in a higher timeless plane called a spectral/hilbert multidimensional plane akin to the unified space-memory network (Haramein et al., 2016). How could it work ? This article will try to respond to the question.

Parallel to David Bohm´s development of a realistic interpretation of quantum physics, German philosopher and logician Gotthard Günther worked on a generalization of the classical two-valued logic to satisfy the ontological requirements of quantum physics as well as of cybernetics. Both of these new disciplines introduced information and consciousness into the terminology of science. These terms and concepts need to be reflected in logic, ontology and the theory of science. David Bohm suggested an expansion of his own model by generalization and iteration of the quantum potential to include consciousness and mental states into a new psycho-physical theory. This article proposes Günther´s four-valued logical system of meaning/reflection as a theoretical scientific frame for this expansion of Bohm´s theory and discusses its ontological implications.

This article attempts to theoretically outline the nature and origins of the consciousness field in Paul C. Mocombe’s theory of phenomenological structuralism (PS). The author posits that consciousness is an emergent force of the universe that is received by the brain and integrated by its electromagnetic field to constitute mind, practical consciousness, and the self in material worlds of the multiverse. As such, the consciousness field, once assimilated in the absolute vacuum, is an interconnected, endless, and nonlocal fifth force of nature, which, initially, emerges following matter aggregation and disaggregation in the multiverse. It (the consciousness field) is an endless assimilation of all past, present, and future information (practical activities and memories) of the multiverse recycled via the absolute vacuum (empty space in which elementa- ry particles, quarks, and constituents of matter and forces of nature have become one), which fluctuates as probability wave functions, to give rise to entangled and superimposed worlds, each with their own consciousness fields, with conscious beings.
