Abstract
The short history of service robots with its precursors is given. Next, the definition of service robot is discussed and some statistical data is given. The described history of service robots covers the ancient period with robot precursors, the middle ages, and the period of industrial revolution. The representative examples of different kinds of service robots built in the twentieth century are given. The chapter is concluded with future trends.

After nearly 30 years of development, service robot technology has made important achievements in the interdisciplinary aspects of machinery, information, materials, control, medicine, etc. These robot types have different shapes, and mainly in some are shaped based on application. Till today various structure are proposed which for the better analysis's need to have the mathematical equation that can model the structure and later the behaviour of them after implementing the controlling strategy. The current paper discusses the various shape and applications of all available service robots and briefly summarizes the research progress of key points such as robot dynamics, robot types, and different dynamic models of the differential types of service robots. The current review study can be helpful as an initial node for all researchers in this topic and help them to have the better simulation and analyses. Besides the current research shows some application that can specify the service robot model over the application.

The paper at hand analyzes the economic implications of service robots as expected important future technology. The considerations are embedded into global trends, focusing on the interdependencies between services and industry not only in the context of the provision of services but already starting at the level of the innovation process. It is argued that due to the various interdependencies combined with heterogenous application fields, the resulting implications need to be contextualized. Concerning the net labor market effects, it is reasonable to assume that the field of service robotics will generate overall job creation that goes along with increasing skill requirements demanded from involved employees. It is analyzed which challenges arise in evaluating and further developing the new technology field and some policy recommendations are given.

Service robot is a new emerging technology that will appear in the commercial market in the very near future as expected by major robotic manufacturers. Service robot will be used in every house, workshop, office, shop, restaurant, airport, organization, hospital, gas-station…etc. Its function is to support people in their daily activities and make their lives easier. The ability of the robot to work in harsh and hostile environment makes it ideal for application in Qatar industry and society as well as for all other countries of the world.

This paper deals with the history of industrial robots, there basic structure, present status and future advances. As we know Modern industrial robots are true marvels of engineering. An industrial robot is officially defined as an automatically controlled, reprogrammable, multipurpose manipulator programmable in three or more axes. Industrial robots have a formidable place in any type of industry now. Automation systems along with industrial robots today are performing motion control and real time decision making tasks that were considered impossible 50 years ago. The most obvious characteristic of an industrial robot is its mechanical arm that is used to perform various industrial tasks. Industrial robots have a wide range of applications in industry manufacturing anything. In this paper, an effort is made to answer the questions about the origin and fundamentals of industrial robotics.

Industrial robotics is a branch of robotics that gained paramount importance in the last century. The presence of robots totally revolutionized the industrial environment in just a few decades. In this paper, a brief history of industrial robotics in the 20th century will be presented, and a proposal for classifying the evolution of industrial robots into four generations is set forward. The characteristics of the robots belonging to each generation are mentioned, and the evolution of their features is described. The most significant milestones of the history of industrial robots, from the 1950's to the end of the century, are mentioned, together with a description of the most representative industrial robots that were designed and manufactured in those decades.

Service applications of robotic technologies begin to appear in several aspects of daily life, motivated by a number of different reasons. One of the most significant is the over -aging and decreasing of the population in Europe that will cause dramatic social changes in all European Countries. The poor state of most of Health Care Systems in Europe is not

Book Chapter: Due to the infusion of artificial intelligence, service robots are on the rise. In this chapter the authors provide examples of how the service industry can benefit from the implementation of robots at the organizational frontline. Thereby, they distinguish service robots from well-established self-service technologies and compare human service representatives with service robots. The Service Robot Deployment Model is a framework that can be used to outline service tasks which can be better performed by robots, humans or hybrid teams. To highlight the role of service robots the authors provide a case study on AI in financial services and conclude the chapter by providing managerial implications for service robot’s usage in service organizations.
