The present conceptual paper explores on the Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education. Artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining significance in all the sectors of the economy and hence in higher education too. From last few years, this concept of "Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education has experienced significant developments. This study attempted to discuss the role and concept of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be applied in teaching and learning in higher education and importance of using AI in Higher Education. AI is a study of how human brain think, learn, decide, and work, when it tries to solve problems. The aim of AI is to improve computer functions which are related to human knowledge, for example, reasoning, learning, and problem-solving. AI gives opportunities to higher education services to become easily accessible at an extraordinary speed, not only inside the class but also outside the classroom. This report attempts to figure out the how AI can become an integral part of universities and tried to access it's immediate and future implications on different areas of higher education. The present paper deals with the study Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education with prime objectives are (i) To understand the concept of Artificial Intelligence (AI). (ii) To analyses the role of technologies related Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education. (iii) To discuss the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education. The methodology of the research is a different type involving an interpretative, conversation, observation, and study secondary sources, like books, articles, journals, thesis, university news, expert opinion, and websites, etc.

In the modern era, artificial intelligence applications have become one of the most essential and prominent aspirations of countries in their various organisations and sectors, especially the education sector, due to the ability of these techniques to help this sector to develop rapidly and increase productivity by imparting scientific material in a beautiful way to the learners. This article provides an overview of the significance of artificial intelligence applications and their role in learning, and how they can be employed in the future. All information in this scenario is collected from a set of studies published in the time of COVID-19 pandemic between 2019 and 2021. This scenario concluded that artificial intelligence is the future that is constantly growing and can be benefited from in the field of education and must be properly exploited to build a new world that depends heavily on digital societies.

The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of education has raised significant concerns regarding the potential displacement of educators by AI systems. The present study explores the diverse domain of artificiala intelligence's influence on academia, examining its capacity to transform conventional educational frameworks. By conducting a methodical investigation using scholarly resources including IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, ERIC, and Google Scholar, this study develops an extensive compilation of 135 publications that were published between January 2017 and June 2023. The results of the study demonstrate a dynamic environment in which artificial intelligence serves as both a stimulant and a challenge. The present analysis emphasizes the complex relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and education, as evidenced by the theoretical underpinnings emphasized by Panaou et al. (2012), as well as the promise of AI advocated by Luckin et al. (2016). The research highlights the significance of adopting a well-rounded strategy, wherein artificial intelligence serves to enhance the responsibilities of educators rather than replace them.

Artificial intelligence refers to the ability of a computer system to perform human tasks (such as thinking and learning) that usually can only be accomplished using human intelligence. AI technology in education is allowing a degree of flexibility and customization that was never before possible. It is revolutionalizing schools and classrooms, making educator’s job a lot easier. It is poised to revolutionize education. This paper provides various applications of AI in education.
Review of Artificial Intelligence in Education, 2020
Objective: This synthesis explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in augmenting the educational process, addressing the global teacher shortage, and personalizing learning experiences. The objective is to reconcile the potential of AI in revolutionizing education with the pedagogical and ethical nuances highlighted by leading experts. Method: A qualitative analysis of insights from UNESCO MGIEP's 'Artificial Intelligence for Education' publication was undertaken. The method involved critically reviewing perspectives on AI's role in education, its ethical considerations, and the historical evolution of AI systems. Results: The analysis revealed a dual view where AI is positioned as a significant tool for personalizing education and addressing educational disparities. However, it is not seen as altering the fundamental human-centric process of learning but rather augmenting and supporting it. Conclusions: The convergence of perspectives suggests that while AI can greatly enhance the personalization and accessibility of education, it serves best as a complement to human teaching rather than a replacement. The pedagogical integration of AI necessitates a balanced approach that values ethical considerations and the innate complexity of the learning process.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a field of computer science that involves the development of intelligent machines that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and language translation. AI has the potential to address some of the biggest issues facing education today, innovate teaching and learning methods, and hasten the achievement of SDG 4 (quality education). With continued investment in research and responsible implementation of AI, we can create a more equitable and inclusive education system that empowers students to succeed. In this paper, we discuss the history, roles, benefits, drawbacks and examples of AI in education and its future implications.

Society 5.0 is a plan to generate a human-focused society that focuses on economic and social growth in Japan. The idea emerged as an evolution of Industrial Revolution 4.0, which is thought to have the capacity to revolutionize technology. One of the main features of Society 5.0 is the use of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence brings many benefits to various fields. One of them is in the field of education. Many studies claim that artificial intelligence can help ease human work and increase knowledge and skills in the field of education. Artificial intelligence has introduced fundamental challenges to education for students, educators and parents. But they are indirectly forced to use AI to learn. This is a solution, as well as a new problem that the education community must immediately adapt. Artificial intelligence has already become a part of education at high schools and colleges. However, at the kindergarten level, it is rarely used. On average, students at this...

With the increase in studies about artificial intelligence (AI) in the educational field, many scholars in the field believe that the role of teachers, school and leaders in education will change. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to examine what possible scenarios are there with the arrival of AI in education and what kind of implications it can reveal for future of schools. The research was designed as a phenomenological study, a qualitative research method, in which the opinions of participants from different sectors were examined. The results show that schools and teachers will have new products, benefits and also face drawbacks with the arrival of AI in education. The findings point out some suggestions for use of AI and prevention of possible problems. While participants generally seem to have positive perceptions towards AI, there are also certain drawbacks, especially highlighted by teachers and academicians, regarding the future of teaching. Lawyers and jurists t...
